DIVISIONS 1 TO 4

DIVISION ONE

Pontblyddyn (14) 184-9 Northop 2nd XI (1) 93-10

Northop seconds still have a 19-point lead at the Division One summit despite suffering a heavy loss at Pontblyddyn last Saturday.
On what was a bad afternoon for the club, with the firsts also well beaten, the seconds were defeated for the first time this season in their 15th match.
Put into bat, Pontblyddyn set 184-9 off 45 overs, James Hughes best with 50, Rhys Johnson grabbing 2-29 for the visitors.
Northop seconds then plummeted to 93 all out, Ioan Jones 3-15, Ryan White 3-17 and Osian Jones 3-24 for an on-form Pont.

Bethesda (2) 111-10 Halkyn (13) 116-5

Second-place Bethesda missed a chance to significantly close the gap on Northop seconds when they slumped by five wickets at home to Halkyn.
After winning the toss and deciding to bat, Pesda could only manage 111 all out, Ben Parker top-scorer with 39, Ben Roberts taking 4-11, Ryan Ferguson 3-13 and Graeme Settle 2-18 for the visitors.
Halkyn still had work to do when they slipped to 74-5 in reply before a match-clinching stand of 42 between Aaron Thomas and Andrew Kendrick (both 15 no) saw them over the line.
Skipper Ben Roberts earlier made 21, while Parker gathered 2-14 off nine for the home side.

Buckley (13) 208-4 Conwy (2) 207-6

Chris Geary’s superb unbeaten 79 guided Buckley to a great victory at home to Conwy.
Invited to bat, the visitors posted 207-6 off 45 overs, openers Shaun Davies and Raj Britto scoring 67 and 36 respectively, skipper Daniel Davies 35.
Adam Shaw notched 3-40 and Matthew Blunden 2-24 for the home side.
Bucks were 63-3 in response, Rocco Franco 39, before a stand of 114 between Geary and Sam Evans (42) took them close to victory.
Geary, whose 79 came off 80 balls and included seven fours and four sixes, then added 31 with Louis Parry to secure the match. Shaun Davies bagged 2-23 off nine for the visitors.

Connah’s Quay (2) 154-10 Hawarden Park (13) 155-4

Spin king Ian Martin returned his best figures for six years, taking 6-20 in Hawarden Park’s excellent win at Central Park.
Quay decided to bat and were all back in the hutch with 154 on the board, Brody Camp 51 and Mali Auty 45, Martin’s six-for from 8.4 well supported by 3-27 from Michael Wootton.
Hawarden reached 155-4 off 40.5, skipper Campbell Marr 45 and Philip Bradfield 33, Camp 2-34 for the hosts.

Dolgellau (11) 215-8 Brymbo 2nd XI (4) 201-7

Lafras Van Vuuren’s sixth league half-century of the season proved decisive as his team Dolgellau celebrated a narrow 14-run win over Brymbo seconds.
Van Vuuren made 81 out of Dol’s 215-8 from 45, Jack Williamson adding 36, while for the away team Gareth Pugh pocketed 4-39 and Jordan Williams 2-28.
Joss Roberts was leading Brymbo towards victory until that man Van Vuuren ran him out for 111.
Roberts is on 610 league runs for the campaign with four fifties and two tons. He is also edging close to the 10,000 career mark.
Chris McCartney added 30, but the Steelmen finished on 201-7, 15 short of the winning post.

Mold (11) 216-7 Abergele (4) 194-10

Skipper Isaac Allen led the way with 60 as Mold set a winning total of 216-7 at Chester Road.
Ewan Hill made 52, sharing in a second-wicket stand of 98 with Allen, while Louis Boulton contributed 34. Sebin Sebastion snared 4-42 for Gele.
The visitors were dismissed for 194, Ranjith Thozhuthingal 52 and Sebastion 36, Allen completing a fine match for the hosts with 3-39, Munowar Samsodien 2-18.

DIVISION TWO

Bangor 2nd XI (15) 74-1 Llanrwst (0) 73-10

Joe Maltby picked up 4-17, Saif Ijaz 3-27 and Hadi Zaidi 2-18 as Bangor seconds blew away Llanrwst for just 73 at Ty Newydd.
Jamie Davies and Sohaib Khan then both posted 30 not out as the Citizens eased to 74-1 in 13.5 overs for a 15-0 points verdict.

Corwen (4) 153-6 St Asaph 2nd XI (11) 154-5

Saints won by a single run off the final ball of a contest reduced to 34 overs per side.
Russell Moore made 39 and Liam Moores 31 not out as Asaph set 154-5, Richard Hughes 3-26, then Corwen’s reply ended on 153-6, Rob Storey 62 and Will Roberts 33 putting 88 for the first wicket, Moores 3-24 for the away side.

Gresford 2nd XI (1) 128-6 Carmel and District (14) 131-3

Skipper Ben Sim hit a crucial unbeaten 93 to guide Carmel to a seven-wicket triumph at Clappers Lane.
Gresford seconds decided to bat and made a modest 128-6 off 40, Danny Griffin 60 not out, Dom Green 2-25 and Sim 2-35 for the visitors.
Sim’s match-winning knock was his second highest career score, Carmel getting to 131-3 in 25 overs, Ryan Williams 2-32 for the hosts.

Llay Welfare 2nd XI (15) 260-7 Menai Bridge 2nd XI (0) 119-7

Joe Howell (95), Jack Honey (67) and Jack Edwards (49) helped Llay amass a huge 260-7, Cai Owen 2-4 for the islanders, who were restricted to 119-7, Edward Gadsby 58, Tom Parry 3-14 and Dylan Honey 2-7 for the resounding home victors.

Marchwiel and Wrexham (15) 290-6 Bersham (0) 162-10

Leaders Marchwiel and Wrexham rattled up a crushing 128-run, 15-0 points victory over Bersham.
Skipper Sam Shoemark (85), Matt Lawrenson (50), Scott Lawrenson (45) and Sam Heard Edwards (37) helped the hosts pile up 290-6 after they were surprisingly put into bat, Rathnayaka Mudiyanselage Shanka 3-52 and Nilanks De Silva 2-37 for the travellers.
Bersham were bowled out for 162, Sathyajith Ihalagama hitting 41 and Amith Thilakarathne 39, Shoemark 2-0, Anthony Morris 2-13 and Scott Lawrenson 2-15 for the home side.

Mochdre 2nd XI (15) 146-1 Pontblyddyn 2nd XI (0) 144-10

Dave Evans’ heroic 95 for Pontblyddyn seconds made little impact on his team’s winning chances at Mochdre.
Pont were bowled out for 144, skipper Evans’ tremendous effort coming off 79 balls and involving 10 fours and four sixes.
Alex J Davies took 3-5 and Sean McHale 3-28 for the hosts.
Mochdre seconds cruised to 146-1 in 27.2, Jon Davies 77 not out.
