Llandudno’s new Indian all-rounder Divya Pratap Singh scored 99 in his team’s resounding Welsh Cup victory over Halkyn at The Oval last Sunday.
North Wales League Premier Division hosts Tudno won the toss and elected to bat, making 271 all out off 39 overs.
Halkyn bowler Gareth Thomas dismissed both openers cheaply to leave the home side 26-2 and they were on a modest 112-4 before Singh and captain Oliver Hughes put on 90 for the fifth wicket.
Singh’s 99 came off just 55 balls and included six fours and five sixes, while Hughes made 68 from 56 deliveries, hitting four boundaries and three maximums.
Lucas Hughes (24) was the only other double-figure contributor in the Llandudno innings, while for the visitors, Sam Hamilton picked up 3-11, Alex North 3-40 and new-ball bowler Thomas 2-37 off eight.
In reply, Division One Halkyn were limited to 122-8 off their allotted 40 overs, skipper North best with 31, James Beresford 23 not out and Hamilton 22.
Jack Rimmington claimed 3-24 for The Oval side, Shana Kelly 2-22 and skipper Hughes 2-31.
