Llandudno and Mochdre were both beaten in the quarter-finals of the Welsh Cricket Cup on Sunday.
Mochdre hosted Swansea at Black Marsh Fields and after being put into bat were bowled out for a modest 139, Gareth Davies scoring 33, skipper Matty Humphreys 32 and Gareth Goodson 29.
In reply, the South Walians dipped to 36-4 before Gareth Hayden (48 not out) and Samihan Ghanekar (39 no) guided them to victory with an unbeaten fifth-wicket stand of 105.
Russ Boswell claimed three victims for Mochdre, who lost by six wickets.
Llandudno’s long trip south ended in disappointment as they went down by 104 runs at St Fagans.
The Cardiff-area home side posted 182-8 off their allotted overs, Callum Nicholls with a half-century and Adam Keane 42, Dan Evans scooping 3-31 and captain Jack Rimmington 2-32 for the visitors.
Tudno were then bowled out for just 78, Jamie Grimshaw 18 and Rimmington 15 no, Gareth Weatherall 4-16 for the hosts.
Sunday’s results end North Wales interest in this year’s national knockout.
