NORTH WALES COAST EAST

Premier Division

Llandudno Junction 1-0 Meliden

Dave Maddock’s 13th goal of the season just four minutes from time was enough to clinch fourth-place Junction the spoils over Meliden at The Flyover.

It was a much-welcomed win for the Railwaymen following back-to-back losses against top-three sides.

The game appeared to be heading for a 0-0 draw before Junction won a penalty which Maddock put away in typical deadly style.

Captain Dan Roberts was named man of the match for the winners.

Penmaenmawr Phoenix 0-2 NFA

A massive win for third place NFA as they triumphed 2-0 at the leaders and moved to within a single win of top spot.

After a scoreless first half, Jay Whitehouse made the breakthrough on 50 minutes and Simon Fawcett made it two with 80 gone, Matthew Robinson with the assist.

Division One

Betws y Coed 0-7 Y Glannau

Seven-goal Glannau made it eight wins on the bounce going back to December with many postponements suffered in between.

Christian Fontana’s side rose to third in the standings with an away caning of Betws.

Luke Stanley opened the scoring from a Joey Fontana assist on 19 minutes and Osian Williams added a second before the break.

Five minutes into the second half, Josh MacGillivray made it three, the assist from Stanley, who then notched his 16th goal in 14 games with 57 on the clock.

Sub Andrew George bagged a quick brace….so 6-0 at Y Glannau and unusually no goal at this stage for top marksman Harrison Bellis.

The number 9 put that right on 75 minutes with his 54th goal of the campaign.

Betws’ unhappy afternoon was completed when Connor Court was shown a red card on 83.

Llysfaen 4-2 Rhos United

Lee Fallas and Sean Sheridan netted two apiece as Llysfaen took the spoils at the OPS Wind Arena.

Chris King and Scott Court (penalty) provided the Rhos replies.

Penrhyn Bay 6-1 Rhyl All Stars

Six of the best from Penrhyn Bay last Friday with goals shared between Ben Kelbrick, Jay Sutton, Adam Roberts, Tom Cotterell, Jamie Grimshaw and sub Scott Kearney.

Macca Lewis responded for All Stars with his eighth goal of the season.

REM Jones Cup Final
