Which teams in North Wales senior football still enjoy unbeaten league records this season?

Flint Town United celebrate a goal. The Silkmen have the longest undefeated league record in North Wales senior football this season

How many teams in North Wales senior football are still unbeaten in their respective leagues this season?

Does anyone still have a 100 percent record in 2023-24?

Read on…..

CYMRU NORTH (TIER 2)

1 Flint Town United: Played 16 Won 14 Drawn 2 Lost 0 Goals For 51 Goals Against 15

Flint (stripes) take on Denbigh Town this season

The Silkmen possess the longest unbeaten run across all the leagues this season – 16 matches.
They look a great bet to win the Cymru North title, although Airbus and Holywell Town are close and very capable rivals.

ARDAL NORTH EAST (TIER 3)

2 Llanuwchllyn: Played 8 Won 3 Drawn 5 Lost 0 Goals For 17 Goals Against 10

It’s quite bizarre that Llanuwchllyn are nearer the bottom than the top of Ardal North East in 10th place, yet they are still unbeaten.
With only eight matches played, and just three wins, Llan are likely to end up facing a testing fixtures backlog, but they are a very good side.

NORTH EAST WALES LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION (TIER 4)

3 Corwen: Played 8 Won 8 Goals For 37 Goals Against 4

Corwen in action against Castell Alun Colts

A 100 percent record and top of a strong Premier Division – Corwen are well-equipped for a quick return to Tier 3.
Eight wins, 37 goals scored and just four conceded. They have to be classed as title favourites even at this relatively early stage of the campaign.

NORTH EAST WALES LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP (TIER 5)

4 CPD Gronant: Played 12 Won 12 Goals For 75 Goals Against 21

The best 100 percent record in North Wales – played 12, won 12 and a whopping 75 goals scored.
It is hard to see anyone derailing Gronant’s title bid, but they are up against some good teams in their division.

NORTH WALES COAST EAST PREMIER DIVISION (TIER 4)

5 NFA: Played 6 Won 6 Goals For 22 Goals Against 4

NFA (light blue) in action versus Trearddur Bay

Cup commitments and postponements mean ambitious NFA have only played six league games so far – but they’ve won the lot.
Definitely capable of winning the Premier at the first attempt with the strength of squad they have, but how will they cope with a hectic games schedule?

NORTH WALES COAST WEST PREMIER DIVISION (TIER 4)

6 Trearddur Bay: Played 9 Won 8 Drawn 1 Lost 0 Goals For 44 Goals Against 8

Trearddur Bay’s Mel McGinness (dark blue shorts) battles for the ball

The likes of Gwalchmai and Nefyn United will ensure Trearddur Bay’s title quest will prove far from easy, but the Beach Boys have hit the ground running in their first tilt at Tier 4 since returning to football under a new name in 2022-23.
Bay are yet to lose a league game after 35 matches going back to the start of last season, but have a tough test against leaders Gwalchmai this weekend.

NORTH WALES COAST EAST DIVISION ONE (TIER 5)

7 Bow: Played 8 Won 8 Goals For 42 Goals Against 8

Bow (grey) up against Kinmel Bay

Look to have the best squad of players in the division and are untouchable so far.
How will their joint-manager’s takeover of Cymru North club Prestatyn Town affect them?
They’ve already signed the goal machine Kieran Ellis from CPD Y Rhyl 1879 in the January transfer window, so Bow continue to look a mighty force on paper and grass.

NORTH WALES COAST WEST DIVISION ONE (TIER 5)

8 Bontnewydd: Played 9 Won 8 Drawn 1 Lost 0 Goals For 30 Goals Against 7

Good start to the season for Bontnewydd, who look to have enough gas in the tank to maintain a season-long title push.

9 CPD Boded: Played 9 Won 6 Drawn 3 Lost 0 Goals for 25 Goals Against 13

Boded (green) in combat with Llanfairpwll

New boys are still unbeaten and definitely look capable of giving it a real go for the league championship at the first attempt.

NORTH WALES COAST DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE WEST

10 Llanrug United Reserves: Played 8 Won 7 Drawn 1 Lost 0 Goals For 40 Goals Against 8

Llanrug United Reserves celebrate after winning last season’s Reserve League Cup

If they avoid defeat against Trearddur Bay Development this Sunday, Llanrug United Reserves will have gone a whole year unbeaten.
The squad contains a nice mix of youth and experience and are scoring plenty of goals – an average of five per game so far.
