NORTH WALES COAST WEST LEAGUE REPORTS – DEC 2

Premier Division

CPD Aberffraw 0 Menai Bridge Tigers 4

Captain Sion Hogan was a hat-trick hero as Tigers edged up to fifth in the table with an emphatic win at Cae Cynlas.

The visitors broke the deadlock in the 40th minute, Hogan curling a free-kick beautifully into the top corner.

It was 2-0 after 50 minutes. Jamie Ryan Jones floated a free-kick into the path of Dean Redmond, who flicked the ball past Berffro ‘keeper Maddox Owen.

Jones got another assist just after the hour mark, with a cross to the back post which was met by Hogan with a controlled volley for his second of the game.

Skipper Hogan completed a hat-trick late on, converting another free-kick after Callum Davidson was fouled on the edge of the area.

Cemaes Bay 2 CPD Penrhyndeudraeth 0

It is now no losses in five and 11 points out of a possible last 15 for fourth-place Cemaes Bay.

A first goal of the season for Matty Roberts and a first club net-finder for defender Tom Philp were the difference at School Lane.

Stand-in keeper Shane Pell will also be more than satisified to have kept a clean sheet.

Glantraeth 2 CPD Pentraeth 1

Connor Gordon settled this battle of the Traeths in Glan’s favour with an 88th minute winner.

Cian Taylor’s strike from a Thomas Zalot assist on 37 minutes handed Pentraeth a half-time lead.

Arwel Williams brought Glantraeth level early in the second half, then there were no more goals until Gordon delivered late.

Division One

CPD Boded 4 Holyhead Town 0

Chris Jones was on the mark twice for undefeated Boded, who moved to within a point of leaders Bontnewydd.

The Anglesey side, now unbeaten in nine league starts, were one-up at half time thanks to a Richard David Williams 35th minute effort.

Substitute Casey Boylan doubled the lead on 61 minutes with his seventh goal of the campaign in all competitions.

Former Bangor City striker Chris Jones then took centre stage, netting on 68 and 71 minutes to also reach seven for the season.
