1ST XI SECOND DIVISION
Fleetwood Hesketh (1) 86-10 Prestatyn (22) 133-10
Another five-wicket haul from Prestatyn’s chief strike bowler Sampath Perera helped the North Wales club end a barren run of six league games without a win.
A 47-run triumph at Sea Cop lifted the Beach Close side up to third in the Liverpool and District Competition 1st XI Second Division.
Sri Lankan all-rounder Perera boosted his league wickets total to 39 in 10 matches this season and he is fast closing in on 300 victims for the club.
Prestatyn won the toss and elected to bat, posting a modest score of 133 all out off 38.1 overs.
Joe Horton top-scored with 25 and Jack Cheetham notched 23, Saad Humayun scooping 5-41 for Fleetwood.
In reply, the hosts were rolled over for just 88, Perera and new-ball partner Benjamin Hughes reducing them to 33-5 at one point.
Perera’s final figures were 5-51 off 13 overs, Hughes picked up 3-9 from 7.3 and Shafiquallah Kamal collected 2-19 from 10.

Northop Hall (5) 145-10 Sutton St Helens (25) 267-7
Skipper Carwyn Johnson’s first team best score of 77 was not enough to save Northop Hall from a heavy defeat at home to Sutton.
The visitors made the most of being invited to bat by amassing 267-7 off 55 overs, Johnson taking 4-103 and Ankur Malik 3-91 for the hosts.
Thomas Nolan (61) and captain Joseph Noctor (59) were the leading run-getters for the away side.
The Hall were then dismissed for just 145, Johnson’s unbeaten 77 the only highpoint for the Flintshire men, Jamie Greener 4-36 for Sutton.
1st XI ECB PREMIER LEAGUE
Colwyn Bay (4) 251-8 dec Southport and Birkdale (20) 252-1
Despite setting a good total at Penrhyn Avenue, Colwyn Bay ended up on the wrong end of a nine-wicket thrashing.
Bay were put in by the opposition and chalked up 251-8 declared off 60.3 overs.
Most of the home top order struggled apart from Will Higginson, who recorded a second highest career score of 108 off 113 balls, striking 12 fours and three sixes.
Skipper George Johansen made 61 not out, sharing in a stand of 132 with Higginson.
Thomas Crew landed 4-57 for the visitors, who then had a field day with the bat, racing to 252-1 off 42.2 for a nine-wicket victory.
JJ Fielding finished 111 not out for S & B, Basil Sultan was 77 no and Jack Stanley made 55, Adam Campion nabbing the only wicket to fall.
2nd XI PREMIER DIVISION
Sefton Park 2nd XI (24) 203-4 Colwyn Bay 2nd XI (7) 200-8
Skipper Tom Roberts’ 84 helped the Bay set a decent effort of 200-8 off 44 overs at Croxteth Drive, Mohammed Rafi 5-54 for the hosts.
Sefton stormed back with 203-4 in just 38.1 to win the game by six wickets, Matthew Young 68, Shay Williams 3-56 for the visitors.
2ND XI FIRST DIVISION
New Brighton 2nd XI (25) 217-3 d Northop Hall 2nd XI (2) 86-10
Daniel Johnstone starred for New Brighton with 103 not out as the hosts set far too big a target for Hall seconds to contend with.
Sion Hellen took 2-76 for the visitors, who were then dismissed for 86, Niall Hurst 26 and Thomas Cottle 22.
