Ankur Malik’s 125 and 50 not out from Ben Slater enabled Northop Hall to set a formidable 246-6 at City Road – but it was not enough.

Hosts Norley Hall got home on 247-6 to seal a 23-8 points verdict.

The visitors, who chose to bat, were 121-4 before a stand of 103 between Malik and Slater took them towards a decent total.

Norley reached their target for six down in the 44th over, Denuwan Dadallage best with 89 and skipper Chris McLoughlin making 55 before Callam Hughes guided them to the finish with 41 no.
