Brickfield Rangers 0 Flint Mountain 5

Aiming to end their debut season in tier 3 Ardal North West on a high, fourth-place Flint Mountain certainly delivered the goods at Clywedog Park.

Aden Shannon’s men collected all three points in the midweek sunset thanks to goals from Calyn Spencer, Joe Davis, Corey Smart and a Sam Molyneux double, including a penalty.

Spencer was shown a red card in the 70th minute.

Llandudno Albion 0 Nantlle Vale 1

Cai Morgan’s 74th minute net-finder clinched the win which lifted Nantlle Vale up to fifth spot.

It was a third straight league victory for Vale, who had drawn 1-1 with Albion at home earlier this season.

Llanrwst United 3 CPD Y Felinheli 2

Callum Parry delivered the winning strike in the 72nd minute of a close-fought encounter at Gwydir Park.

Chris Nicolson handed the hosts a fourth-minute lead, but Iwan Edwards equalised with 21 on the clock.

Cai Evans put Llanrwst 2-1 up on 28, but just four minutes later, Ryan Cain set up Guto Huws to make it 2-2.

There were no further goals until Parry hit the decider.

NORTH WALES WOMEN’S FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Caernarfon Town 2 Pwllheli 5

Magi Elin Hughes scored a hat-trick

Captain Magi Elin Hughes was a hat-trick hero for Pwllheli in Wednesday’s clash at Nantporth Stadium.

Lois Thomas nudged the visitors ahead on 11 minutes before Hughes made it 2-0 with a penalty after 23.

Bottom side Caernarfon, fresh from their first win of the season at the weekend, are a much improved team and by half time they were level thanks to goals from Natalie Lovelock and Alaw Parry.

All to play for in the second half, but Hughes struck just a minute after the restart to give Pwll the upper hand.

Thomas made it 4-2 on 71 minutes before Hughes completed her personal treble in the 88th.

FC Queen’s Park 3 Castell Alun Colts 2

Mike Latham’s match-winning 92nd minute penalty ensured the Park returned to the Premier summit as they made it eight wins in a row in all competitions.

Dave Evans’ side raced into a two-goal lead, Latham opening the scoring on 10 minutes before Liam Davies added another after 17.

Elliot Bond hit back for Casty to make it 2-1 at half time, then midway through the second stanza, Daniel Woosey pulled the visitors level.

The Park needed something to pull victory out of the fire and it was the dependable Latham who supplied the killer blow with his 18th goal of the campaign.

AFTER MATCHES PLAYED APRIL 19

Llandudno Junction 1 Glan Conwy 0

George Roberts’ 26th minute goal was enough to seal victory for the Railwaymen in Wednesday’s derby.

Llandyrnog United 0 St Asaph City 4

Ryan Potts passed the 30-goal mark for the season with yet another double for his collection at Cae Nant.

Ellis Blench and James Williams were also on target as Saints maintained their 11-point lead at the top and edged ever nearer to the title.

Llanfairfechan Town 2 Penmaenmawr Phoenix 1

Form side Llanfairfechan celebrated a fourth straight win and completed a double over Pen in the quarries derby.

Ellis Jones poached the 91st minute winner for Glyn Bellfield’s side, who pushed up to seventh place.

Earlier, Harry Croston had given Town a seventh-minute lead before Daniel Hughes levelled on 42.

CPD Llannefydd 3 CPD Bro Cernyw 0

Sam Jones, Robin Hughes and Simon Roberts put away the goals that mattered for second-placed Llannefydd.

CPD Llansannan 2 Cerrigydrudion 2

James Thomas bagged a 93rd minute equaliser for 10-man Llansannan.

Great result for Meliden after a barren run of five without a win.

Ashley Dale struck first for Rhuddlan on eight minutes, but Dylan Ford and Jon Terry hit back for the hosts before the break and it remained 2-1.

Prestatyn Sports 1 Kinmel Bay 4

Four wins in succession and six without defeat for Kinmel Bay, who must wish the season could start again.

A rare home loss for Sports makes it increasingly unlikely they will get in a title challenge.

Connor Morris was the main man again for Kinmel, scoring all of his team’s four goals, including a penalty, to reach 30 for the 2022-23 season.

Bay could even afford to have Anthony Jones red-carded in the 55th minute.

Mark Price notched a consolation goal for Sports.

DIVISION ONE

Penrhyn Bay 1 CPD Caer Clwyd 0

Just one goal was needed to decide this one – Matteus Katsouris bagging a 16th minute clincher for Penrhyn Bay.

AFTER MATCHES PLAYED APRIL 19

CPD Aberffraw 1 Llanrug United 3

David Noel Williams (red and white) in past action for Llanrug United

David Noel Williams has enjoyed some amazing moments in a Llanrug shirt – last night brought another one.

The veteran 42-year-old, nicknamed Charlie, came on as an 87th minute substitute, and in no time he was asked to deputise between the sticks after regular keeper Dion Price Owen was shown a second yellow for conceding a penalty.

And Williams did not let the side down, as he saved Iolo Jones’ kick to keep United 3-1 ahead – that’s how the match ended.

Carl Griffiths put Llanrug in front on 30 minutes, but George Bevan brought Berffro level after 37.

In the second half, both Gethin Phillips and Tomi Llywelyn netted before the hour to establish a winning lead for the visitors.

Bethesda Athletic 1 CPD Mynydd Llandegai 1

Bethesda edged a point nearer to the title, but will have been expected to win Wednesday’s derby against Llandegai at Parc Meurig.

Kane Roberts put the visitors ahead on 37 minutes and it was not until the 81st that Scott Hughes equalised.

Four more points from their last three matches should be enough to ensure Pesda are crowned champions.

CPD Llannerchymedd 2 Glantraeth 3

A fifth straight league win for Glantraeth, who had to withstand a late surge from Medd to claim all the points.

Andy Clarke (2) and Dylan Williams put the away side 3-1 up, Gavin Sharpe replying, then Lewis Connor set up an interesting finish with an 81st minute second goal for the hosts.

But Glan held on and are up to sixth.

Talysarn Celts 6 Menai Bridge Tigers 1

Luke Baum (2) and Jack Usher handed Celts a 3-0 first half lead before Tom Parry gave the Bridge hope by getting one back before the turnaround.

However, Talysarn stayed in charge after the break, Aled Jones, Josh Williams and Jack Usher all finding the net before the end.

DIVISION ONE

CPD Mountain Rangers 2 Llanfairpwll 1

Thomas Mummery put Llanfairpwll into the lead after just two minutes, but Rangers fought back to win with goals from Jason Taylor and a Stuart Cooke spot-kick.
