Today he celebrates his 32nd birthday.
All the best to Ynys Môn football legend Asa Thomas, born on April 11, 1991.
Best known for his ability as a prolific net-finder, Asa has scored a North Wales coast record 639 career goals.
Currently with North Wales Coast West Division One leaders Trearddur Bay, Asa is on 57 goals for the current season.
We’ve probably written everything there is to write about Asa, so on his birthday we take you back to 2010-11, the season where he amassed an unbelievable 112 goals, but actually ended up a loser in a massive game where he netted four times!
The occasion was the North Wales Coast Junior Challenge Cup Final, where Trearddur Bay United lost 6-4 to Clwyd League wonders POINT OF AYR.
Four-goal hero Asa Thomas was unfortunate to end up on the losing side as Clwyd League Point of Ayr captured the NWCFA Junior Cup for the first time in their history.
A pulsating final at Conwy United’s Morfa ground stood at 4-4 after 90 minutes, but the Colliers netted twice in extra time to claim the trophy.
Trearddur Bay, who were going for a cup treble this season and who lifted this trophy in 2009, started the better of the two sides and began to pepper Point’s goal with several long range efforts.
The pressure eventually took its toll when Bay’s prolific marksman Thomas’ glancing header found the corner of the net after 21 minutes.
Point of Ayr also showed signs of threatening the Bay goal themselves and were duly rewarded when Simon Fawcett levelled on 38 minutes, heading home from a corner to ensure parity at the break.
The lively encounter was then turned on its head within 10 minutes of the restart when both Mike Jones and Darren Hughes – with his 73rd goal of the season – gave Point a 3-1 lead as Trearddur looked vulnerable.
Remarkably, however, Thomas scored twice in two minutes, the latter from the penalty spot midway through the half, to bring the match level again at 3-3.
Then on 76 minutes, Thomas netted his fourth of the afternoon and 98th goal of the season to put the Bay back in front.
Point refused to lie down and scrambled an equaliser with eight minutes remaining thanks to Mike Jones to take the final into extra time.
With penalties looming, the Ayr were awarded a debatable penalty which Brett Johns duly converted and capped a memorable afternoon when Jake Hughes scored the 10th and crucial goal with four minutes remaining.
