North Wales Coast East – Bow claim stunning away win, St Asaph stretch lead in Premier to 10 points

NORTH WALES COAST EAST LEAGUE REPORTS
Division One

Llandudno Amateurs 0 Bow FC 2
Not only did Bow complete a double over the Amateurs, they also became the first side to inflict a home league defeat on the Llandudno team in two seasons and rose up to second in North Wales Coast East Division One after their latest three points.
The Prestatyn-based Bow made it seven league matches unbeaten – six of them wins – and ended the Amateurs’ sequence of 18 home games without a loss since entering the tier 5 division last season.
Saturday’s game saw Llandudno dominate the opening exchanges, visiting keeper Richard Hillier-Evans forced into a couple of great saves.

The match turned in the 25th minute when a penalty was awarded for a challenge on Richard Hill and Azz Boyle converted from the spot.
This proved a real blow for the Amateurs, who never recovered.
Bow now dominated with Hill and Boyle controlling the midfield.
However, midway through the second half it remained 1-0 and the game was by no means won.
That was until home keeper Kyle King missed the ball attempting to make a clearance and Tom Weir found the net with ease.
Llysfaen 1 Henllan 1
All-square at the Bananabeu with Steven Collins giving Llysfaen a ninth-minute lead, but Rhys Bennett equalising on 28.
Home team manager Emlyn Robert Jones said after the game: “I thought for the first 15-20 minutes we were bossing it, tempo was good, movement on and off the ball was good, we were good for our lead, but as soon as we conceded we kind of just fell apart.
“We stopped playing, started rushing play, the link up wasn’t there and we became erratic.
“In the second half we weren’t much better if at all. We turned the game into a bit of a dogfight when we needed to do the basics and do them well. Henllan are good at doing the simple things well, they always have done and despite what the table says they’re a better side then where they are.
“Positives were that 2 or 3 months ago we lose that game. There’s a lot of new faces and lots of changes and we’re not going to bear the fruit of everything right away, and although the result was fair despite nobody wanting it, it’s still a step in the right direction.”
Rhyl All Stars 3 Caer Clwyd 6

A game of two halves in windy conditions saw Clwyd take all three points against a tough All Stars side.
Playing with the wind in the first half, Robert Cunnah’s home side pressed well early and scored through Lee Pearce from a ninth-minute corner.
Clwyd’s first proper spell of football saw some good play down the right and Morus Owen win a penalty which Morgan Jones converted on his return to the club.
Less than a minute later All Stars won a penalty which Luke Bradshaw put away to make it 2-1 at half time.
In the second half Clwyd were told to step up their game and reacted perfectly – Connor Lloyd and Ashley Andrews nabbing quick fire goals.
Clwyd kept All Stars squeezed in and created chance after chance, Morus Owen and Craig Lavery extending the lead to 5-2.
A great goal from All Stars’ Tyler Donnelly made it 3-5, but Clwyd had the last word when a flick on from Joel Rowlands found Morgan Jones to score his second.

And it was 2-0 two minutes into added time when Jared Hughes fed Jacovelli, who burst clear before slotting beyond keeper Ryan Fox.
In the second half, Glan did most of the attacking and pulled a goal back on 77 minutes through Liam Brown. Glan are still without a win in 19 attempts, but really deserve one based on some uplifting performances.
Llandyrnog United 0 Meliden 4

A cracking win on the road for a Meliden side who are really capable of putting together a big run to send them flying up the table.
Macauley Ross put the Miners one-up at Cae Nant, before a beauty from James Cairns doubled the advantage close to half time.
Cairns added another corker on 50 before Liam Astley completed the rout with a tremendous free kick in the 71st minute.
Llanfairfechan Town 1 St Asaph City 4
Five straight league wins and 10 points clear at the top – St Asaph are in a very good place right now.
Saturday’s win at Llanfairfechan saw hat-trick hero Ryan Potts and a Ray Knight net-finder book maximum points, a Luke Jones own goal providing the home reply.
Llannefydd 1 Llandudno Junction 3
Lucky 13 league games without defeat for Junction – nine of them wins – with Saturday’s success at second-place Llannefydd one of their very best.
Sam Jones put the hosts ahead with a 26th minute penalty, but George Roberts equalised on 35.
In the second half, Curtis Cooper and Tomos Rhys-Williams delivered the goals which guaranteed three magnificent points for the Railwaymen.
Llansannan 1 Kinmel Bay 6
Tate Walker (2), Connor Morris (2), captain Ashley Wood and Anthony Jones combined to share the goals in an emphatic win for Kinmel.
Gruffudd Roberts provided the only home response.
Mochdre Sports 4 Blaenau Ffestiniog 0
Mochdre returned to winning ways with a professional performance against a spirited Blaenau side.
Sports started the first half brightly with Josh Grimshaw opening the scoring after four minutes following a neat lay off from Scott Roberts.
The second came 15 minutes later, with Roberts linking up with Scott Brown who headed home bravely beating an onrushing keeper from just inside the area.
The second half, like the first was mostly one-way traffic with Mochdre controlling most of the play and the third goal came when Grimshaw got his second, finishing well from the corner of the box after another Scott Roberts lay-off.
The points were secured on the 79th minute when substitute Anuar Seilkhanov curled the ball past the Blaenau substitute keeper from the edge of the box.
