Gary Jo Owen marked his Cemaes debut as a substitute with the seventh and final goal of the Bay’s convincing cup success at Y Fali.

Owen, 33, is a two-time winner of the Bob Brodie Trophy for Anglesey senior football’s top scorer and is thought to have netted well over 200 goals in his career.

Keenan Downey handed the visitors a fifth-minute lead from the penalty spot before Matty Roberts made it 2-0 after 23. Haydn Jones added a third before half time.

In the second period, Roberts struck again, Cian Mon made it five and Matt Reynolds added a sixth before Owen completed the rout.

Y Fali had Jack Halton dismissed in the 90th minute for a second yellow card.

Holyhead Town 1 Bontnewydd 3

Ianto Ap Rhun, Meilir Rowlands and Luke Phillips (penalty) all found the net to guide Bont into the next stage, Jayden Owen replying for Town.

Llanfairpwll 2 CPD Cefni 0

In their first home game since the sad passing of long-serving club secretary Alun Mummery, Llanfairpwll marked the occasion with a fitting victory in the great man’s memory.

Marquis Holland put the Maes Eilian side ahead in the 23rd minute and the tie was wrapped up on 85 when top-scorer Jay Finter found the net.

Cefni manager Graham Jones was sent off for two yellow cards.

CPD Mountain Rangers 1 Trearddur Bay 9

Asa Thomas added yet another hat-trick to his collection and became the first senior player competing on Anglesey to break 30 goals this season in Saturday.s caning of Rangers.

Thomas netted on 13, 83 and 90+2 minutes to push up to 31 goals in all competitions for 2022-23.

Mel McGinness matched Thomas’ feat with a treble of his own, scoring on six, 23 and 36 minutes.

Justin Williams, Marcus Bell and Sol Williams added one apiece, while Thomas Philp bagged a consolation for the hosts.

Llangoed 0 Caergybi 4

Louis Chapman maintained his dynamic run of goal-getting with a first half hat-trick as Tyddyn Paun.

Captain Chapman made it 11 goals in his past three matches and 22 for the season, netting on 14, 42 (pen) and 45+4 minutes on Saturday.

James Ryan added a fourth for the visitors in the 53rd minute.

Llanystumdwy 2 CPD Gaerwen 3

A cracking win for Gaerwen who picked up just their second three points of the season.

Nathan Moore, Robert Boyes and Brooklyn Jones all struck in the second half for the Anglesey side, who were two-down at one stage.

Llan had led through goals from Owen Pritchard on 28 minutes and Guto Roberts after 50.

Moore replied on 65, Boyes after 66 and Jones provided the 85th minute decider.
