FAW Amateur Trophy semi-final draw could be right up Denbigh Town’s street

Denbigh Town have landed a semi-final draw against the lowest ranked club left in the FAW Amateur Trophy.
The tier 3 Ardal North West club will take on Bridgend Street of the fourth-tier South Wales Alliance Premier Division at a neutral venue on March 18.
In the other semi, Llandrindod Wells of Ardal North East will lock horns with Trethomas Bluebirds of Ardal South East, conquerors of Bangor 1876 two rounds ago.
Denbigh made it to the last four with a brilliant 3-1 triumph at Newport-based Pill AFC on Saturday, captain Paul Fleming delivering a double and Harvey Bennett also scoring.

Bridgend Street enjoyed a very impressive 5-2 victory over Ardal North East hopefuls Rhos Aelwyd at the weekend.
Although only mid-table in the South Wales Alliance Premier, Street’s form in the Trophy has made them a team to be respected.
It is almost 100 years exactly since Denbigh Town lifted the Trophy when it was known as the Welsh Amateur Cup back in 1923-24.
North Wales teams have won nine of the last 11 FAW Trophy finals.
