Llangefni Town manager Dan Gregg wants to see a positive reaction to last weekend’s defeat this Sunday
Llangefni Town manager Dan Gregg will stress to his players the importance of putting things right after a loss before they take on Northop Hall in the North Wales Women’s Football League this Sunday (kick off 2 pm).
Despite his improving team producing a decent performance at home to Pwllheli last weekend, Cefni did lose the game 2-1, missing a good opportunity to build on their promising start to the league campaign.
Llangefni have won two and lost two in the league so far, but both their losses were by just the one goal – to CPDM Bangor 1876 and Pwllheli.
They are also the only team to score more than one goal against leaders Bangor in the NWWFL this season – just two of 1876’s eight opponents so far have managed to find the net against them at all!
Next up at Cae Bob Parry on Sunday are Northop Hall, who are just a place above Llangefni and starting to show some good form.
Dan has announced just one change to the Town squad this week, with defender Frankie Davies returning. Will there be any Sister Sledge songs sang in the changing room?
“We need to respond after last week, three points is a must!,” said the Llangefni manager. “Last weekend the performance was good at times, but we still came away with nothing. We don’t want that to happen again.”
