Eight games, eight wins, goals scored 69, goals conceded 3, top of the league – CPDM Bangor 1876 could not have dreamed of a better start to the 2022-23 season.

In their last five matches, Aron Griffith’s side have amassed 55 goals and not let in a single one.

Fielding a mixture of dazzling young talent and quality experienced players, Bangor have looked unstoppable so far.

There are tougher opponents to come, however, such as Denbigh Town, NFA and Pwllheli.

Sunday’s nine-goal blitz of neighbours Llanfairfechan saw Cerys Parry scored a hat-trick, there was one apiece from Danielle Barnfield (penalty), Menna Evans, Ella Jones, Mia Roberts, Jenna Allsup plus a Morgan Jackson own goal.

Reflecting on the match, manager Griffith commented: “A brilliant team performance once again from the girls.

“Another win and another clean sheet. The team worked well today against a much improved Llanfairfechan team who didn’t stop and pushed us to the very end.

“Credit to our girls we showed again why we deserved the win by working hard in and out of possession, putting in the effort in where it counts and scoring some well-worked goals.

“Also I want to say a big thanks to Amy (Mano) for standing in as goalkeeper today due to player absences – Becca (work commitments) and Lucy (injury). We’re looking forward for our next match as we try to keep this winning streak going.”
