Oak edged a seven-goal thriller against a Wanderers side which had been showing good form.
The visitors took the lead in the sixth minute. Adam Wright beat his man on the wing and crossed to Kris Owen, who finished nicely.
Mark Dudley’s Oak team equalised and then took a 2-1 lead into half-time.
Jonny Mee won a penalty in the second half and converted it to level matters.
Oak showed good sharpness in the box to go 4-2 up. Their goals came from Colin Sargerson, Saeed Jones, Dardan Hoxha and there was also an OG.
An Oak player was then shown a straight red for a very dangerous knee-high slide tackle on Matty Robinson, who was fortunate not to sustain a bad injury.
Wanderers were not finished and Luke Bradshaw came off the bench and was fouled in the box.
Bradshaw stepped up for the penalty and nailed it into the side-netting, continuing his 100% spot-kick record in a Wanderers shirt making it 8/8 since the start of last season.
Wanderers could not find a late equaliser due to a solid Oak defence and some very good goalkeeping mopping up a lot of dangerous crosses.
Wanderers players voted Ellis Blench as the standout Royal player, and Oak players opted for Matty Robinson.
