Bye – Rhyl Rangers
Holders FC Mally, Royal Oak, Y Clwb and Rhyl Rangers are the four teams into the semi-finals of the 2022-23 NWCFA Sunday Challenge Cup.
Y Clwb qualified after opponents Prestatyn Wanderers had to forfeit their tie due to a lack of registered players in time for the cup deadline.
Rhyl Rangers go through automatically following the resignation from the league and cups from scheduled opposition The Millbank.
Two ties were played on Sunday, October 16:
Adam Cassidy led the charge with a hat-trick as the Oak comfortably progressed at the Reso in Rhyl.
Patrick Mehmeti, Dardan Hoxha and Charlie Thorley netted two apiece and there were single strikes from Saeed Jones and Ellis Blench.
Leon Melling notched the Celtics’ reply when the score was 4-0.
A classic nine-goal tie which was a tremendous advert for Sunday league football.
Goalscorers for Junction side the Mally were Francesco Gallina, Benn Lundstram, Nick Hughes, Liam Griffiths and Nathan Williams.
Joe Jones (2), Ian Pattinson and Lee Stokes ran the Comrades close.
