Hogan Gwynedd and Anglesey Summer Netball – Bethesda are Division 2 champions, Dolgellau go back to Division One peak

Dolgellau are back on top of Division One

While the 2022 Hogan Gwynedd and Anglesey Netball Summer League Division Two champions are confirmed, the battle for the Division One title goes on.

Bethesda have clinched top spot in Division Two after a great season which saw them win seven out of eight games.

In Division One, meanwhile, Dolgellau have returned to the summit, but Arfon Ladies and Penygroes Primos are still very much in contention.

Adran 1 – Division 1 – September 7

Arfon Ladies 23-25 Penygroes Primos
(3-6; 10-11; 15-18; 23-25)

Primos well and truly opened up the title race again with this narrow win over Arfon.
The Penygroes side led at the end of each quarter, although Arfon won the second 7-5 and the last 8-7, but it was not enough to affect the result.

(6-4; 13-8; 20-12; 23-20)

Bottom side Dyffryn steadily built up a winning lead over the first three quarters.
Walis won the last big 8-3, but had left themselves too much to do.

Dolgellau returned to the pinnacle after a hard-fought win over the Panthers.
Although Pwllheli lost the opener 10-5, they won the second and third 8-7 and 8-7 to be just three behind ahead of the last.
That one ended all-square 7-7, so the good work Dolgellau did in the first quarter proved decisive in the outcome of the match.
