Llandudno sign midfield marvel Erin Doran

Erin Doran has joined Llandudno Ladies for the 2022-23 season

One of the best young players of her age group in Wales has joined Adran North champions Llandudno for the 2022-23 season.

Midfielder Erin Doran, 16, is best known for leading Penrhyn Bay in back-to-back FAW Under-16 Welsh Cup finals, as well as winning league titles and cups with the amazing teenage side.

Now she makes the step up to senior football hoping to emulate her elder sister Louisha Doran, who has represented Wales Under-17’s, as well as Llandudno Junction Bullets, Colwyn Bay, Mochdre, Kinmel Bay, Tranmere Rovers, Everton, Llandudno and Chester.

Erin has played for Wales herself in the younger age groups, starting at under-12 alongside former Penrhyn Bay team-mate Sophie Rawling in 2018.

On joining Llandudno, Erin said: “I’m looking forward to playing and training with the ladies throughout the season.

“It’s going to be challenging as it’s a big step but I’ve enjoyed it so far and looking forward to the next few games coming up.”

A composed performer with the class to ghost past players as if they are not there, Erin can play in a variety of positions quite comfortably.

She is very much a goalscoring midfielder with a penchant for the spectacular.

Erin is Llandudno’s second signing of the summer, coming hot on the heels of another Wales international in Mia Rawling, older sister of Sophie.
