Y Clwb v Bar Bow

Y Clwb will be aiming to hit the ground running when they play their first match in seven weeks on Sunday.

Their opponents will be Bar Bow, who beat them 3-2 at Glan Conwy in a Lee Jones Cup tie back in November.

However, in the reverse league fixture at Rhyl in October, Y Clwb triumphed 3-1.

Y Clwb are undoubtedly one of the best sides in the league and at their best have to be classed as genuine title hopefuls.

Bow suffered a bad defeat last Sunday, going down 5-2 at struggling side The Alex.

They will need to be a whole lot better if they are to upset Y Clwb.

Conwy Comrades v Six Bells

Comrades have started 2022 with a pair of emphatic wins and in Jamie Haggas have arguably the league’s no 1 in-form striker at present with him having netted five goals in his last two matches.

Six Bells enter Sunday’s clash buoyed by last weekend’s fantastic 5-2 victory at Royal Oak in the Lee Jones Cup.

These teams last met in the league in October and it ended Bells 1 Comrades 1.

Both are in good nick, so this should be a cracking battle.

Bells have league top-scorer, skipper Macca Lewis (15 goals) in their line-up, while Comrades goal-king Haggas is on 13.

FC Mally v Millbank

The fourth meeting this season between these two title-chasing heavyweights takes place at Maes Derw, Llandudno Junction, on Sunday.

The pair clashed at the same venue last weekend in the Lee Jones Cup and Mally took the honours 4-2.

Andy Colville’s side also saw off Millbank 3-0 in the NWCFA Sunday Challenge Cup in November, but the previous month, the Rhyl team pipped the Mally 3-2 in a league thriller.

So 2-1 to the Mally at present, but it’s a brand new ball game on Sunday. Which way will it go?

Royal Oak v The Alex

Can The Alex follow up last weekend’s shock 5-2 win over Bar Bow by disrupting the Oak’s title charge?

The Llandudno side have strengthened since the turn of the year and will have their eyes on another surprise result.

Last Sunday saw the Oak whipped 5-2 at home by Six Bells in the Lee Jones Cup – how will Mark Dudley’s men respond to that?

Oak won 5-1 at the Alex in the reverse league fixture back in October.
