Connah’s Quay Nomads 2 (Kirstie Kural 50 & 56 pens)
Llandudno 5 (Jasmin Dutton 10, Ella Jones 42 & 83, Maddie Williams 43, Kelsey Davies 90+2)

Llandudno’s flying start to the season continued with a convincing victory at Rhydymwyn against the Nomads.

Sarah Colville’s side have won all four matches played so far, two in the league and a pair of cup ties.

They have beaten Llanfair 4-1 and Nomads 5-2 in the Genero Adran North, Bethel 6-1 in the league cup and Denbigh 7-0 in the Welsh Cup.

Taking on the Nomads on Sunday, Tudno were on top from the start. Eight minutes in and the visitors had already forced three corners and two saves from the home keeper.

The deadlock was broken on 10 minutes. Great work down the wing by Maddie Williams and Becky Jarvis-Evans resulted in a nice ball into Jasmin Dutton, who scored with a quality first-time touch.

Quay then settled and began to get back into the game, but Llandudno rallied, Ella Jones hitting the crossbar before the Seasiders scored twice close to the break.

On 42 minutes, Kelsey Davies broke down the wing and fed Ffion Owen. The midfielder then took the ball into the box and passed to Ella Jones, who slotted home.

A minute later, Ceri Slaney got on the inside of the right back and crossed into Maddie Williams, who made it 3-0.

Nomads battled back after the interval, Kirstie Kural reducing the deficit from the penalty spot.

Both sides were reduced to 10 players on 55 minutes after Nomads’ Annmarie Jones and Tudno’s Sioned Phillips were involved in an altercation.

Soon after the Deesiders won another penalty which Kural put away for 3-2.

It was a real contest now, but Llandudno remained strong and on 83 minutes a great ball from Dutton released Ella Jones, who made it 10 goals in three matches with a calm finish.

Then in added time, Llandudno’s player of the match, the returning Kelsey Davies, applied the finishing touch with a 25-yard screamer to make it 5-2.
