North Wales star Louisha Doran has switched her focus to the English pyramid for the 2021-22 season by joining Chester FC Women.
She will play alongside fellow “Gog” Anna Jones at the North West Women’s Regional Football League Division One South club.
Chester kick off their campaign with a visit to Curzon Ashton this Sunday.
Utility player Louisha, 24, is a former Wales Under-17 international who mainly operates in defence or midfield, but can adapt to any position.
Her former clubs are Llandudno Junction Bullets, Colwyn Bay, Mochdre, Kinmel Bay, Tranmere Rovers, Everton and Llandudno, who she represented in the Welsh Premier League.
Louisha’s opportunity at Everton as a teenager came about because of her progress with Kinmel Bay and Wales.
Unfortunately, injuries held up her development at the Merseyside club.
In the 2017-18 season, she really made her mark with Llandudno.
October 2017 saw her win the WPWL Player of the Month award after scoring eight goals in three league matches.
She stood out as a forward that season, but had previously created a big impact as a defender. Her versatility is one of her major strengths, as is her tackling, strength and ability on the ball.
Lou was appointed manager of the newly-formed Colwyn Bay women’s team earlier this year, but the club was turned down for a place in the new tier 2 and folded.
The talented sportswoman decided it was time for a new challenge.
She told Grassroots North Wales: “I feel this move will give me the push to compete properly again with football.
“New faces, new team and back in the English league gives me a good opportunity to take on new challenges. I’m looking forward to being in the same team as Anna (Jones) again, top player on and off the ball.”
Away from the football field, all-action Louisha is a talented kickboxer who was winning world titles from a young age.
