COLWYN BAY 3RD XI (12) 207-7 CARMEL & DISTRICT 3RD XI (3) 178-1
An unbroken eighth-wicket century partnership between Harry Spillane and James Smith made sure Colwyn Bay emerged victorious in a high-scoring encounter.
Bay were 106-7, Nick Bould having posted 43, before skipper Spillane (56 not out) and Smith (41 no) guided the hosts to 207-7 off their 40 overs.
Salim Jan bowled brilliantly for Carmel, taking 3-8 off six, while Ieuan Jones nabbed 2-40.
The visitors’ innings finished with plenty of wickets in hand, but they could not attain the required run rate.
Jan (77 no) and Jones (72 no) put in 164 as Carmel ended on 178-1 to secure three consolation points.
Both sides used 10 bowlers in a fine game of cricket.
CONWY 3RD XI (3) 138-9 BANGOR 3RD XI (12) 139-6
Brothers Sohaib Khan and Subhan Khan were key performers for Bangor in a hard-fought win at Bodlondeb.
Subhan claimed 3-23 and Samuel Parry 2-26 as Conwy were limited to 138-9, Robert Gater 31 and Allan Senior 29 for the hosts.
Sohaib then top-scored with 40 as the citizens reached 139-6 in 34.4, Christopher Dawson 31 no and Subhan 27, David Owen 2-25 for Conwy.
MENAI BRIDGE 3RD XI (3) 132-10 MOCHDRE 3RD XI (12) 133-5
Owen Davies made a vital 61 in Mochdre’s five-wicket triumph at Tyn-y-Caeau.
Put into bat, Menai Bridge were all out for 132, Ian Granger 32, Zack Coverley 4-28 and Zachray Sardar 2-13 for the visitors.
Davies’ half-ton then helped Mochdre get to 133-5 in 38.3, James Gilman adding a more than useful 33 not out, David Owen a superb 2-8 off nine for the hosts, Doug Searle 2-23 and Poppy Smith an economical 1-12 from seven.
SUNDAY EAST DIVISION
CONNAH’S QUAY 3RD XI (11) 141-8 GWERSYLLT PARK 3RD XI (4) 140-10
Opener Phil Keidel’s 70 was the game’s top knock as Connah’s Quay scraped a narrow win over Gwersyllt.
The visitors were inserted and set 140 all out, Shaun Hughes 56, Matthew Dix 4-26 and Jake Chare 2-37 for the home team.
Quay got to 141-8 in 25.5, wicket-keeper Keidel dominating the show, Dale Jones 3-33, while Rhys Griffiths and Taylor Downey-Jones both notched 2-7 for the away side.
BRYMBO 3RD XI (13) 113-5 MOLD 3RD XI (2) 110-10
After calling the coin correctly and electing to bat, Mold’s modest 110 all out never looked like a winning total.
League leading run-scorer Ewan Hill, batting at nine, struck 44 not out for the visitors, Noa Grant adding 25, Ioam Craven-Jones 3-18 and Terry Jones 2-24 for the home team.
Brymbo reached 113-5 in 29, Andrew Evans 34, Oliver Jones a brilliant 4-16 off nine for Mold.
