NORTH EAST WALES FOOTBALL LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION

Leaders Chirk Town fought back from an early two-goal deficit to thrash Mynydd Isa Spartans 7-3.

Jordan Walker struck after six and 14 minutes to get Spartans off to a flyer, but a Nicky Williams double on 32 and 38 levelled the match.

Just before half time, Mynydd Isa’s Danny Wynne was sent off and this proved quite a turning point as the Tavs made full use of the extra man in the second period.

Aaron Davies and Tom Freeman both delivered doubles and Jamie Williams also found the scoresheet, James Blackwell with a consolation for the visitors.

Greenfield edged a 4-3 thriller at Coedpoeth United thanks to a late Danny Calvert penalty.

Sion McHugh, Connor Hughes and Dylan Roberts also netted for the visitors, Sean Phelan, David Hughes and Luke Hall for the home team.

Jamie Roberts handed Llangollen Town a 38th minute lead at Castell Alun Colts, who replied through Joshua Coleclough on 61 to ensure it finished 1-1.

Halkyn and Flint Mountain thrashed Lex XI 6-2, Peter Martin 16 minutes, Paul Williams 23, Sam Jones 29 and 89 and Phil Lloyd 47 & 76 (pen) bringing up the home half-dozen, Alex Palmer and Sebastian Kidd (pen) replying for the Lawmen.

Lewis Jones, Matty Robinson, Aaron Davies and a Mark Jones own goal earned New Brighton Villa a 4-1 triumph over Brymbo Victoria, Finley Dyer responding with a penalty.

NORTH EAST WALES FOOTBALL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP

Ethan Snell’s hat-trick was the highlight of an historic day for Brymbo Lodge who marked their first-ever home game with a 4-2 victory against Borras Park Albion.

Harrison Davies added a single for Lodge, whose man of the match was ex-Wrexham academy product, goalkeeper Ryan Price.

Lewis Evans netted both for the visitors.

Caerwys whipped Johnstown YFC 5-1 with three goals from Ryan Jones and two by Dylan Mackie.

It was a first win for new manager Eddie Barry who thoroughly deserves it for all the effort he has put in recently.

Sychdyn were on a high after ending goal machines Railway Rovers 100% record with a 2-1 win at Wat’s Dyke Way.

Division top-scorer Jordan Valentine put Rovers ahead, but Keiye Williams and Terry Nicholas hit back to take it for the hosts.

Joel Buchanan hit four for Penyffordd Lions in an 8-1 blitzing of Bellevue.

Buchanan’s haul included an eight-minute hat-trick in the second half.

Lions led just 2-1 at the interval.

Marcus Davies, Jordan Jones, Liam Williams and Dominic Randall added one each, Jordan Wright with the away consolation.

NORTH EAST WALES FOOTBALL LEAGUE RESERVE DIVISION

Lewis George hit four, including a penalty, Aron Blackwell a late hat-trick and there was a goal apiece for Harry Killick and Ryan Harden as Cefn Mawr Rangers Reserves thumped Castell Alun Colts Reserves 9-2, Gavin Hughes and Ray Jones replying.

Caerwys Reserves went to town 9-0 at Coedpoeth United Reserves, Thomas Anderson (4), Ruari Wood (3) and Chris Hoey (2) all prospering in front of goal.

Goals from Garry Whittaker and Leroy Ngema-Stamp secured FC Queen’s Park Reserves a 2-1 verdict at Ruthin Town Development, who hit back through Owen McKee.
