A big win for Chirk as they bowled out their English visitors for just 33 at Holyhead Road.
Cound, a village and civil parish on the west bank of the River Severn in Shropshire, put their hosts into bat after winning the toss.
Chirk were all out for 206 in 45 overs, opener Gareth Partridge doing best with 43, Nick Flack scoring 39, Ollie Gough 37 and wicket-keeper James Carter 24.
Calum Marsh notched 3-27 and Darren Moody 3-54 for the visitors,
Cound’s reply was a disaster – 33 all out in 15.3 overs with seven players scoring 0.
Extras was the leading contributor with 10.
Luke Gardner produced a career best 5-20 off 7.3 overs for the home team, Andrew Swarbrick snapping up 3-8 in six and Billy Swarbrick 2-5 off two.
Chirk took the points 20-4 and are up to third in the table.
They visit Worfield 2nd XI next Saturday, while Chirk 2nd XI entertain second-place Corvedale 1st XI.
