Trearddur Bay Bulls women’s team are on the lookout for more players.
The team held its first pre-season training session at Lon Isallt last Monday and will continue to gather on the same day, same venue, between 6.30 and 8 pm.
Here’s a message from the Bulls promoting their recruitment drive: “Welsh football has seen a boom in female participation with a 50 per cent rise in playing numbers in the past five years.
“And we are adding to that statistic and want everybody to come with us on the journey to give women’s football the rightful attention and love it deserves.
“We’re hoping to join the (North Wales) league this season and already have a strong side, with a variety of ages and abilities. We would welcome any, and we mean ANY woman that is even contemplating kicking a football.
“We mainly want to have lots of fun and show the younger girls that women are just as good as men (if not better).”
Bulls ladies train every Monday from 6.30 pm at Trearddur Bay’s Lon Isallt football pitch.
