Goal machine Sean Sheridan to rejoin Llysfaen for 2021-22 season

Striker Sean Sheridan will return to the club where he made a huge impact last season.

Sheridan joined Llanfairfechan Town last summer, but is now back with Llysfaen for the 2021-22 campaign.

The ruthless front man banged in 31 goals in just 18 outings for Llysfaen in 2019-20, helping Emlyn Robert Jones’ side finish runners-up in Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Division One, having not lost a single match and only missing out on the title by the narrowest of margins on points-per-game to NFA.

Sheridan notched five hat-tricks in total over the season, including three four-goal hauls.

He switched to Llanfairfechan in June 2020, but with the entire 2020-21 season being cancelled for tier 2 downwards, he never got to play a competitive match for Adam Parry’s side.

Now he returns to Llysfaen of tier 5 North Wales Coast East Division One, subject to the move being finalised.

Llysfaen manager Jones said: “When I got the call it was an absolute no brainer. Everyone in the local football circles knows that Shez has the ability to play at a much higher level then tier 5/4 or even 3 football, but to have him at the club is an incredible boost for everyone associated.

“With work commitments playing here is ideal for him, but he also knows he’s highly respected here. He very quickly became part of the fabric here and we can’t wait to get everyone back and get cracking.”
