Preview of today’s North Wales football matches (Sunday, November 29)

Charley Smith has left Amlwch to join Bangor 1876

Today’s football – Sunday, November 29 – all friendly matches (no spectators allowed)

Amlwch Ladies v Pwllheli Ladies – OFF

This game has been cancelled as Pwllheli do not have enough players to travel.

Amlwch defender Charley Smith has left the club to join Bangor 1876.

Northop Hall v Wrexham (2 pm at Rowley Drive)

Wrexham will be looking to keep their good form going when they visit Northop Hall.

The Dragons won 8-5 at Denbigh last weekend, Jodie Richards scoring a magnificent five goals.

Hall also bounced back from their opening game loss to Holywell by beating the same opponents 5-0, so it could be a decent battle today.

Denbigh Town Ladies v NFA (2 pm kick-off at Central Park)

Denbigh will look to build on their second-half performance against Wrexham last weekend.

Trailing 6-1 at half time, Jordie Baker’s side fought back to win the second period 4-2 and lose 8-5 overall, Rosie Hughes netting four and young talent Cara Jones also on the mark.

NFA had a good debut 2019-20 season in Division Two and will be playing their first friendly. Defender Llinos Hughes remains at the club after a change of career plan.

Llanystumdwy Ladies v Bethel Ladies

Newly-formed Llanystumdwy’s first game is against the 2018-19 joint Division One champions Bethel.

The visitors have a few player stepping up from the under-16’s this season, so again they should be thrilling to watch.

The Millbank v The Mally (12.45 pm- Coronation Gardens, Rhyl)

Biggest test yet for new Rhyl side Millbank, who have won two and lost one of their friendlies so far.

The Mally are true Rhyl and District Sunday League heavyweights, having won three quadruples in recent years.

Father and son Mike and Benn Lundstram will make their first start together for the Junction side.

All the makings of a good tussle. This is a friendly, with the league fixtures yet to start.
