What an impressive bunch we have this month!

Some really good players celebrate their special day during March. If you are a female footballer playing in North Wales and are NOT on this list, please get in touch and we will add you in.

March birthdays

1st

Chloe Evans (NFA)

Young defender who is coming on in leaps and bounds for North Wales Division Two side NFA.

3rd

Shannon Jade Jones (Bethel)

Part of Bethesda’s Division Two title-winning squad last season and before that showed a lot of promise for Bangor City. Now is a star performer in midfield for Bethel.

5th

Sara in action for Mountain Rangers

Sara Williams (Mountain Rangers)

Former Llandudno, Colwyn Bay and Caernarfon Town player who gives absolutely 100% every time she takes the field. Strong defender whose experience is invaluable to Mountain Rangers.

6th

Lucy Perry (Kinmel Bay)

Really tidy player who now participates in recreational football for Kinmel Bay, but previously represented the team brilliantly in Sunday 11-a-side.

8th

Lexi Crawley (Amlwch Town)

Top scorer in North Wales football at present. Out-and-out striker who has netted lots of goals wherever she has played. Leading scorer at the 2019 Inter-Island Games representing Ynys Môn. Previously in Welsh Premier with Caernarfon Town and Wrexham, and North Wales League at Bangor.

Paige Williams (ex-Rhyl)

Ironically, Lexi’s sister Paige is actually named Paige Williams, who plays with her at Amlwch, but this birthday girl is ex-Rhyl winger Paige Williams, who went on to study on Merseyside and represent Liverpool Feds.

14th

Amy Webster (NFA)

Tall, composed striker who can also play in goal. Known for her spectacular goals, hold-up play up front and hard work. She’s just tremendous all-round, great team player.

15th

Chelsea Evans (yellow and blue)

Chelsea Evans (Northop Hall)

Busy, industrious midfielder who gives it her all whenever she plays. From a well-known footballing family, Chelsea sometimes slips under the radar, but her value to the Hall is immense.

16th

Ffion Owen is a star player for Amlwch week in, week out

Sioned Phillips (Llanberis)

Llanberis player-manager and a dynamic operator either in midfield or attack. Formerly with Bethel and has represented the Scarlets, RGC and Welsh Colleges at rugby union.

Ffion Owen (Amlwch Town)

One of the finest North Wales has produced. A goalscoring midfielder who hails from Anglesey but is best known for her successes with Caernarfon Town. Piling on the goals for Amlwch this season.

17th

Charley Smith (Amlwch Town)

Charley started the season at TNS but everyone was delighted to see her return to Amlwch Town where she is a key member of the defence. Ex-Caernarfon Town, awesome at the back, Charley is also a referee and assistant. She can do anything – probably save the world if needed.

18th

Nia Owen (Llanberis)

Reliable centre-midfield player who has not featured regularly for Llanberis this season.

19th

Katie Houghton (centre) in possession for Bethel

Katie Houghton (Bethel)

Another who is really flourishing at Bethel having come through the girls’ sides, winning loads of trophies and medals. Slight but strong midfield presence with great passing ability.

Shannon Hobbs (Connah’s Quay Nomads)

Impressive attacking player who has played for a few clubs, including Rhyl in the Welsh Premier, Northop Hall, Prestatyn and now Connah’s Quay Nomads, where she has maintained her reputation as a more than useful goalscorer.
