Two second half goals from Asa Thomas guided Welsh Alliance Division One leaders Holyhead Hotspur to a 2-0 win over visitors St Asaph City.
Thomas made it 29 goals across all teams and competitions for the season to move Darren Garmey’s side seven points clear at the summit.
Hotspur’s unbeaten run now stretches to 15 games and they have won 26 of their 30 matches this term. They also maintain their 100% home record in the league.
The strong wind made playing football pretty much impossible at the New Stadium and a goalless first half was littered with frustration for both teams.
Hotspur got the breakthrough on the hour with a 25-yard curler from Thomas.
And the goal machine sealed the points after 85 minutes by scoring direct from a corner.
