Llandudno Football Club women’s team has announced a management clear out – so what happens next?

Manager Jay Davies has departed from his role, while twin sisters Saran and Claire Colville have also stepped back after 13 years’ involvement with the club.

Llandudno, who were tier 2 Adran North champions in 2021-22 and 2023-24, have struggled badly this season with numerous key players having left Maesdu Park.

Their sole league game brought a 14-0 defeat at Llanfair United, while the team has also postponed a number of fixtures for various reasons.

Davies was promoted to the manager’s role in October 2024. His finest achievement was leading the team to glory in winning the NWCFA Challenge Cup in 2024-25.

The Colville twins have been involved since the team became known as Llandudno Ladies in 2013, and before that when it bore the name Llandudno Junction.

Sarah was a prolific striker before injury forced her to give up the game, while defender Claire was a mainstay of the side for many seasons, although more recent years have seen her reduce playing commitments due to injuries.

The pair were part of the management team when Llandudno reached the Welsh Cup final in 2015-16, as well as when they lifted the first-ever Adran North league title in 2021-22 and repeared the feat two seasons later.

So what next for Llandudno Ladies FC?
