North Wales Coast East: Has Swifts striker Dave Maddock set a personal best? Wins for Glannau, Llysfaen and Rhuddlan

NORTH WALES COAST EAST LEAGUE REPORTS – OCTOBER 24
PREMIER DIVISION
Llandudno Swifts 8 Prestatyn Sports 0
Prolific marksman Dave Maddock may have set a personal career best when he scored four goals in Llandudno Swifts’ caning of Prestatyn Sports on Saturday.
The 34-year-old striker, Llandudno Albion’s all-time record marksman with 109 goals, never actually netted more than three times in a single game for the club, which competed in North Wales football between 2014-15 and 2022-23.
Since the end of the latter season, Maddock has played for Llandudno Junction and now Swifts, but had not bagged a quadruple for either club until Saturday.
So, unless the powerful front man notched four in a match before joining Albion, at about the age of 22, he has just achieved the feat for a first time. Those involved in his local football career to date have been consulted on this….
Unbeaten Swifts lie second in the North Wales Coast East Premier after Saturday’s result, level on points with Llanfairfechan Town, who they now only trail on goal difference.
Maddock found the net on 25, 47, 62 and 89 minutes, Robbie Parry struck twice and there was one apiece from Isaac Carey and Joseph Carey. Maddock’s career goals total since 2014-15 stands at 164.
Alfie Griffiths and Mike Jones both missed penalties for the visitors with the score at 3-0.
CPD Y Glannau 2 Penrhyn Bay 0
Dominic Holland and Sait Kanli both netted early in the second half to scoop maximum points for Y Glannau.
DIVISION ONE
Llysfaen 5 Rhyl Athletic 0
Six of Llysfaen’s last seven games had been in cups – but on Saturday they returned to league action in style with a five-goal beating of Rhyl Athletic.
North Wales football’s top marksman Mike Chapman scored twice in the first half to boost his season’s haul to 25 goals.
In the second half, Euan Preece, sub Scott Court and Jordan Russell added further strikes for Faen, who rise to fifth in Division One.
Rhuddlan Town 7 CPD Blue Bridge 3
Rhuddlan lifted themselves to second spot after a seven-goal show at home to Blue Bridge.
Seventeeen-year-old livewire Riley Patterson led the way with a hat-trick, Liam Bowers hit the net twice to move onto 23 goals in 2026-27, while Deacon Williams and sub Andy Booker also made the scoresheet.
Cian Cummings, Callum Lloyd-Clegg and Kai Griffiths’ ninth goal of the campaign provided the visiting replies.
