Kinmel Bay progressed to the next round of the FAW Amateur Trophy following a commanding 3–0 victory at home to Penrhyndeudraeth.

With a stronger squad available, despite still missing several key players including Jordan Bellham, Antonio Jacovelli, Josh Parry, Anthony, Charlie and Jacob Jones, Paris Gray and others, Bay controlled the game throughout, maintaining shape and discipline to secure a comfortable victory.

The hosts were a well-drilled and organised side with plenty of quality, but the Kinmel midfield worked tirelessly. Returning Matty Beach orchestrated proceedings alongside Nyal Hughes and Paddy Hamid.

Defensively, the centre-back partnership of Mason Richards and McKenzie Slaven marshalled the back line superbly, while Matty Rees and Lewis Rhodes provided energy and width by getting up and down the channels at every opportunity.

At the other end, the in-form Seydou Bamba caused constant problems for the Penrhyn defence. Late runs from Levent Gundogan and Tate Walker also created several excellent chances which, on another day, could have seen Bay take a comfortable lead into the break. However, the sides went in level at 0–0.

An upbeat half-time team talk reinforced just how well the hosts were playing and the players were encouraged to continue creating opportunities.

Following a few key changes, the breakthrough finally arrived in the 67th minute. Beach delivered a dangerous free kick, Lewis Thompson headed the ball back into the danger area, and Jimbo Hay was perfectly placed to tap home for 1–0.

Bay continued to threaten, with several attacks either blocked by the Penrhyn defence or saved by their goalkeeper. A clever, ghosting run from Hamid then forced a defender to pull him back inside the penalty area. The referee pointed to the spot, and Ste Kirk confidently dispatched the penalty to double our advantage.

The scoring was completed by Bamba, whose relentless pressing was rewarded. He won possession high up the pitch, raced through on goal and calmly slotted the ball past the goalkeeper to seal a thoroughly deserved 3–0 victory.
