Tigers roar to victory in Welsh Cup battle

Tier 4 high-flyers Tigers are through to the first round proper of the 2026-27 Welsh Cup after thrashing Mountain Rangers at Treborth Playing Fields this evening.
Leaders of the North Wales Coast West Premier Division with five straight wins, 42 goals scored and just one conceded, Tigers transferred their league form into knockout competition with yet another emphatic victory.
Aaron Rowlands’ side were two-up within the first quarter, both goals coming via defender Tomos Clarke, the former CPD Dinas Bangor City 1876 captain.
Clarke found the net on 11 and 20 minutes, assists provided by Harry Galeotti and Callum Graves respectively.
Tier 5 Rangers proved they had not just come along for the ride when Dion Jones opened their account on 24 minutes, narrowing the gap to 2-1 at the break.
Tigers had the tie wrapped up within the first six minutes of the second half.
Lewis Clayton made it 3-1 via an assist from Jamie McDaid, who added a fourth on 51 minutes, the previous goalscorer this time the supplier.
Graves converted a penalty on 54 and McDaid rounded off the scoring on 68 from a Galeotti assist.
Rangers had veteran Mark Williams red-carded in the 53rd minute.
