Eight new signings – some higher up the pyramid, others a little lower, all equally important

MORGAN OWEN (Caernarfon Town to Porthmadog – loan)

Attacking right-back Owen has rejoined a Porthmadog side he last represented in 2023-24.
Since January 2024, Owen has played for Caernarfon Town, making 89 first team appearances.
His first goal for the club was a very famous one – a long range effort in Town’s first-ever European tie against Crusaders of Northern Ireland on July 11, 2024.
It was the Cofis’ first goal in Europe which put them on the way to a 2-0 home first leg victory and led eventually to a win on penalties after a 3-1 defeat in the away match.
Owen also featured briefly as a substitute when Caernarfon won the Welsh Cup for the first time in their history last season, beating Flint Town United 3-0 in the final.
The 25-year-old joined Port from Llandudno at the beginning of 2023-24 and featured in 23 games for the Traeth side, scoring three times, before switching to Caernarfon.
His early senior career also included spells at Colwyn Bay, Glan Cinwy and Llandudno.

OSIAN ELLIS (Caernarfon Town to Porthmadog)

The loan market between Caernarfon Town and Porthmadog is a very active one.
The latest to make what is for now a temporary move is Osian Ellis, an 18-year-old attacking player who moves from The Oval to Y Traeth for the 2026-27 season.
Ellis emerged through the Caernarfon Town youth system, representing the U12, U14, U15 and U16 sides before scoring on debut for the Development team in March 2024.
He made his first team debut for Caernarfon as a late substitute in a home Cymru Premier clash with Penybont in November 2024.
Ellis went on to make 26 appearances for the firsts, all but one as a substitute.
He is perhaps best known for scoring Caernarfon Town Development’s first goal in their famous 3-2 victory over The New Saints in the 2025-26 FAW Youth Cup final.

JAKE CANAVAN (to Caernarfon Town)

Attacking midfielder Canavan, 22, has rejoined Caernarfon following a previous spell at The Oval in 2023-24.
Starting his career with Burnley Youth and Manchester City Youth, the Liverpool-born talent, renowned for his fine shooting, joined The New Saints in 2019 and has spent a number of seasons affiliated with the Park Hall outfit while fitting in loan spells elsewhere.
These have included stints with Aberystwyth Town, Caernarfon from January-May 2025, where he made 11 appearances and scored on debut in a 3-0 win over Flint Town United, while he spent last season with the Silkmen after brief duty with TNS’ first team squad.
Canavan made 36 appearances for Flint, scoring five goals, including the opener in the final game at Cardiff Met, which the Silkmen drew 2-2 to save their Cymru Premier skins.

OFFRANDE ZANZALA (to Caernarfon Town)

Much-travelled 29-year-old forward joins Caernarfon Town.
Zanzala emigrated with his family from the Republic of the Congo to Austria in 1999 due to the Second Republic of the Congo Civil War..
Aged eight, he moved with his family to England, and, at 12, signed with the Derby County Academy. He was named as the Under-21 Premier League Player of the Month in October 2015 after scoring four goals in three youth team matches.
This was the start of a number of associations with professional clubs, which brought Football League appearances for Stevenage Borough, Chester, Accrington Stanley, Crewe Alexandra, Carlisle United, Newport County and Exeter City. He won promotion from League Two with Exeter in 2021-22.
His best spell was with Accrington, where he notched 10 goals in 51 appearances.
Later moves took him to Barrow, AFC Fylde, Torquay United and back to Chester. His most recent club was Marine last season.

A fast, intelligent, tough-tackling, no-nonsense defender with previous experience in Tier 3. Another player Broughton look forward to seeing get back to his best this season,

ALFIE EVANS (to Gwalchmai)

A young full-back with plenty of potential who is eager to develop his game in men’s football after playing for Llangefni at youth level.
Aged just 16, Alfie was on the bench for this week’s opening fixture at CPD Boded.
His former teams include Llangefni Town Under-17s, Llangefni Celts U16s, plus Gleision Llangefni and Llangefni Dragons U15s.

TONY ROBERTS (CPD Boded to Gwalchmai)

Tough-tackling defender who has spent the past three seasons at Boded and before that played for CPD Y Fali.
Made 83 appearances in a Boded shirt before deciding on a move to Gwalch for the 2026-27 season.
Gwalchmai FC quote: “Tony is a player that (manager) Craig Evans has liked for a long time and has made a move quickly to get him over to Gwalch . A tough tackling fullback that will give 100% each game is certainly something the Gwalch supporters will love to see.”

ALEX CUNNINGHAM (Llangefni Town to Gwalchmai)

Seventeen-year-old talent who started out with the Llandudno FC Academy and Llangefni Celts, later joining Caernarfon Town U15 and U16s, then last season linked up with Llangefni Town, where he represented the U17s, hitting 25 goals, and also got some first team minutes under his belt.
Gwalchmai are delighted to have him on board.
The club said: “This was a player that manager Craig Evans had set his sights on for a long time and did a great job of getting him over to Gwalch as several other clubs were interested in the forward. Alex will bring something different to us with his physicality and an eye for goal.
