Foresters reveal third new signing for 2026-27 season

Young talent Ruby Smith is the newest addition to the Wrexham Foresters women’s squad.

Smith, 17, joins the Tier 2 newcomers from The New Saints.

Last season she played in 12 matches for Saints, scoring five goals for a team which went unbeaten throughout the campaign with 11 wins and a draw.

Foresters player-manager Kirstie Kural said: “What I like about Ruby is how composed she is on the ball. Her work-rate off it is brilliant too, she’s got the vision to find those key passes that open a game up. She’s a lovely footballer and a great addition.”

Ruby said: “I’m excited for the new challenge and step up into women’s football. I’m looking forward to having the opportunity to play alongside experienced players, build my confidence and help contribute towards the team’s success this season.”
