Amlwch Town have long been an important part of the North Wales women’s football scene, but last season they took a break due to low playing numbers.

Now the comeback is on with the highly-respected Andrew ‘Lefty’ Wright appointed manager and experienced player Lauren Bate taking on the role of assistant.

Among the players to sign up include experienced and accomplished keeper Ceri Pritchard, an Ynys Môn cap and long-serving Shannon Sharpe (nee Thomas).

Open training sessions are progressing well and new faces are always welcome.

Manager Wright said: “The excitement is building, and plans are already underway for a friendly fixture in early July.

“If you’ve played for Amlwch before, have been away from the game for a while, or are simply looking for a new challenge, we’d love to hear from you. Now is the perfect time to get involved and be part of bringing ladies’ football back to Amlwch.

“Let’s keep the momentum going and keep growing the squad. Share this post, tag your teammates, and help spread the word!

“Next open training session is on June 28th.”
