Meet the latest Ynys Môn women’s football squad!

Mia Roberts of CPDM Bangor is in the latest Ynys Môn women’s squad

Ynys Môn women’s football team will play two matches in the Isle of Man this summer.

Manager Dan Gregg and assistant Liam Ewing have announced an 18-strong squad for the July games at The Bowl Stadium in Douglas.

Môn will take on the Isle of Man National Under-23 women on Friday, July 17, at 7 pm followed by the Isle of Man Senior Women on Saturday, July 18, 5 pm kick-off.

Gregg and Ewing, who manage Llangefni Town Ladies, have also been in charge of the Ynys Môn women’s teams in the past two Island Games.

Here is a look at the players and what they bring to the squad.

SQUAD FOR ISLE OF MAN

Charlotte Gill (Huddersfield Town)

Experienced midfielder who plays for Huddersfield Town – the 2025/26 National League Division One North champions who are now promoted to National League North.
Has represented Ynys Môn at four Island Games.
Playmaker who can score great goals. Netted for Anglesey in the 2017 Games.
Started her career with Tranmere Rovers at under-14 and remained at the club for five years. She then joined Blackpool Ladies for three years before moving to Liverpool Feds, Guiseley Vixens and latterly Huddersfield.

Ellie Murphy (Holyhead Hotspur)

Exciting youngster Ellie is a natural goalscorer with an outstanding eye for goal who will represent Holyhead Hotspur Women in the season ahead.
Playing for Hotspur Under-16s in the North Wales Girls League Under-17 Division in 2025-26, she scored 15 goals in 14 matches.
Her work rate, commitment, and determination on the pitch are second to none.

Megan Williams (Caernarfon Town)

Outstanding young striker, aged 16, made a major impact in her debut season for Caernarfon Town in the NWC Llandudno Kia Women’s League, scoring 10 goals in six games, including five in a win against Henllan and a hat-trick in a draw with Llanystumdwy.
In the North Wales Girls League Under-17 Division, she bagged no less than 33 goals in 14 games, plus four more in cups.

Ellie Jones (CPDM Y Felinheli)

Tremendous talent who has spent the past two seasons at Felinheli, where she won the NEWFA Challenge Cup and NWCFA Challenge Cup, netting seven goals in 35 games.
Attacking wide player who started off with Llangefni Girls, then began her senior career with Bethel of Tier 2 Adran North before switching to Amlwch in 2021-22.
After two seasons at Lon Bach, she returned to Bethel (now CPDM Y Felinheli).
Has represented Ynys Mon in the last two Island Games and scored in both tournaments.

Mia Davies (The New Saints)

Quality defender Mia joined The New Saints Women in January 2025 as a Wales U17 international defender. A product of the FAW Girls’ Academy, she has represented her country in European Championship qualifiers.
Eighteen-year-old who played in 23 matches for Adran Premier top four side Saints last season.
Previously with Gaerwen Juniors and Dreigiau Llanfairpwll.

Erin Burns (CPDM Bangor)

Rock-solid 19-year-old defender who made her debut for CPDM Bangor in August 2023 and has now topped 50 appearances for the Adran North team.
Played for Ynys Môn at the 2025 Island Games in Orkney and made the scoresheet against Western Isles.
Formerly with Dreigiau Llanfairpwll.

Seren MacDonald (CPDM Bangor)

Former Dreigiau Llanfairpwll star who has been a regular with the CPDM Bangor senior side since the start of 2023-24.
Had made 50 first team appearances for the Adran North team and at 19 has many good years ahead of her.
Debuted for Ynys Môn at the 2025 Island Games.

Cerys MacDonald (CPDM Bangor)

Twin of Seren, Cerys has made 40 appearances CPDM Bangor since 2023-24, netting five goals.
Another former member of the successful Dreigiau Llanfairpwll side.

Mia Roberts (CPDM Bangor)

Industrious and skilful midfielder who featured for Ynys Môn in the 2023 and 2025 Island Games.
Mia, 20, has been a CPDM Bangor player every season since 2021-22 apart from a brief stint at Amlwch Town in 2023-24 where she scored twice in five matches.
She has made 87 first team appearances for Bangor, notching 22 goals, including hat-tricks against Flint Town United and NFA. And let’s not forget the countless assists she provides.
First made her mark in the great Penrhyn Bay sides which reached back-to-back FAW Under-16 Welsh Cup Finals.

Menna Evans (CPDM Bangor)

Had a phenomenal goal scoring record with CPDM Bangor Under-17s and U19s before making her first team debut in March 2022.
Since then, this dynamic young striker has scored 26 goals in 59 matches for the Adran North side.
Great on the ball, pacy and possesses sublime shooting ability which has resulted in some spectacular goals.
Scored in the wins against Hitra and Jersey for Ynys Môn at the last Island Games in 2025.

Cerys Parry (CPDM Bangor)

New face in the squad. Came through the U17 and U19 ranks at CPDM Bangor before making her first team debut in October 2021.
Has featured in 75 matches for the firsts, registering 14 goals. Aged 21, attacking player with plenty of potential.

Jess Jones (CPDM Bangor)

Unfortunately missed the 2025 Island Games through a serious knee injury which kept her out for a year, but had previously made a big impact at Guernsey 2023, scoring in two games.
Signed for Bangor last season and returned to the field in March. She netted her first goal for the blues in 2-1 win over Llandudno in the NWCFA Challenge Cup on April 15.
Prior to joining the Citizens, Jess well and truly made her mark at Llangefni Town, where she amassed 83 goals in just 51 appearances, winning the Betty Pickering Cup with Dan Gregg’s team in 2023-24.

Catrin Roberts (CPDM Bangor)

Was first choice keeper for Ynys Mon at the 2025 Island Games, playing in all three matches for a team which finished fifth (and deserved better) in the tournament.
Catrin started her football with Llangefni U7 boys, then moved to Bangor girls.
At the North Wales Development Centre in Llandrillo, she was successful in trials and trained in the Welsh Pathway at Colliers Park, Wrexham.
The youngster next signed for Caernarfon U14 boys academy, which enjoyed great success in the FAW Academy North league.
Catrin trained and played for the North U18 regional squad in the North Wales Boys Academy league.
She also turned out for the FAW Girls Academy North U16 and U17 sides before earning a Wales U-16 cap, representing her country in a European tournament in Serbia. The young stopper has also represented Wales Colleges against Australia.
In 2024-25, she decided to leave the Welsh set-up to sign for CPDM Bangor
Aged just 17, Catrin has made 39 appearances for CPDM Bangor over the past two seasons.

Beth Jones (Llangefni Town)

Hard working, committed defender who has spent the last three seasons at Llangefni, making 60 appearances for the club.
Prior to that, Beth was in the Amlwch Town squad which won the North Wales League Division Two title in 2019.
She also featured for Bangor City and Caernarfon Town in the Welsh Premier League, plus was in the Ynys Môn squad which reached the Inter-Games final in 2019.
Last season, she won the inaugural Kia Llandudno North Wales Coast League title with an undefeated Llangefni side.
Also impressed for Ynys Môn at the 2025 Island Games, starting all three matches.

Mared Roberts (Llangefni Town)

Has made 90 appearances for Llangefni Town since joining her local club in 2022-23.
Strong defender whose performances have grown in stature alongside Llangefni’s emergence as a leading force in North Wales women’s football.
Has won the Betty Pickering Cup and North Wales Coast League with Cefni.
Another member of the high-performing Ynys Môn 2025 Island Games squad.

Marissa George (Llangefni Town)

Is just two appearances short of 100 for Llangefni, where she has been part of the success story from virtually the start.
Compact, energetic right-back who has developed into one of the best in her position on the North Wales football scene.
Played in all three matches for Ynys Môn at the 2025 Island Games.

Catrin Roberts (Llangefni Town)

Captain courageous whose commitment and determination is an inspiration to all around her.
Has made 95 appearances in a Llangefni shirt since 2021-22, scoring 22 goals.
Another who enhanced her reputation as a true leader at the Orkney games last year.

Lowri Thomas (Llangefni Town)

No-one has deserved the chance to represent Ynys Môn more than this tremendous performer from the 2025-26 season for champions Llangefni.
Lowri returned from a season’s break and was a revelation for Cefni, her tigerish displays in the midfield making her a key asset for the title winners for whom she played in 23 matches, bagging four goals.
Aged 21, she was previously at Amlwch Town, where she scored 13 goals in 31 appearances and before that represented the outstanding Caernarfon Town Girls Under-16s team.
