Central Wales North Women’s League: 99th minute leveller earns 8-player Northop Hall draw, Airbus end on high with victory over Buckley

Flying Ffion Jones made it 21 league goals in 10 matches after her latest double in last Thursday’s victory at The Hollingsworth Group Stadium.
Jones, who did not feature until January, was once again a standout performer for an Airbus side which completed the campaign in second spot in the Central Wales North League.
Much-improved Buckley, who themselves have rounded off the season with some good results, struck first when Sophie Iball made it 1-0 in the 12th minute.
The Bucks held that lead until the 41st minute when Holly Cooper supplied the assist for Jones to net her first.
Then, on the stroke of half time, the Wingmakers edged in front when Grace Kehoe fired in her 15th goal in 16 matches this season.
Buckley remained strong and competitive well into the second half, and it was not until the 72nd minute that the blues bagged a third, Jones on target via a Heledd Roberts assist.
Jones then turned provider her sixth assist in 10 matches, for Courteney Page to make it 4-1 in the 90th minute.
SUNDAY, MAY 24

Northop Hall 2 (Sharps 35, Price 90+9)
Tyler Price’s 12th goal of the season nine minutes past the 90 earned an heroic draw for eight-player Northop Hall at Maesydre Recreation Ground.
Ellen Sharps scored the only goal of the first half on 35 minutes to give the Flintshire visitors a half time lead.
After the break, Tahila Evans levelled for Newtown on 52 minutes, Michelle Bastable-Howe with the assist, and after 61, 17-year-old Mya Bradley made it 2-1 to the Robins, Fenella Price creating the chance.
However, despite having three less players than their opponents, Hall kept going till the end and top-scorer Tyler Price delivered a deserved late, late equaliser.
