With the 2025-26 football season nearly over let’s assess how our Dynamic Dozen have performed.
Every season Grassroots North Wales chooses 12 male players who are worth watching out for in the campaign ahead.
With one of our selections out injured since early in the season, we reduced it to a Legs Eleven.
Star of the season for us! Full credit to Patrick Cain of Felinheli, who recommended this young talent to Grassroots North Wales as a potential ‘dozenite’ at the start of the campaign.
From day one, 18-year-old Byron was banging in the goals and his final figure of 28 in 34 matches for a debut season in Tier 3 is magnificent.
With 20 league goals, the lightning forward finished fifth in the Ardal North West chart.
The fact only the following four stars – Tom Hilditch, Callum Parry, Corrig McGonigle and Osian Hughes – were above him says it all.
Byron notched three hat-tricks this term, one in just his second appearance in a Welsh Cup tie against Lex XI, another in a stunning 5-1 triumph at Prestatyn Town and a third in a 6-2 caning of St Asaph.
A truly magnificent season for a young player surely destined to play at a higher level. Da iawn Byron.
What a debut season for this rock-solid defender! Treble winner with Bangor City 1876 – Ardal North West title, FAW Amateur Trophy and Ardal North League Cup.

Key member of a Bangor defence which displayed such resilience all season, conceding by far the least league goals.
Brilliant young goalkeeping prospect who impressed in his 19 appearances for a much-improved Blue Bridge this season.
Not involved after February when an ankle injury ended his season early, but this 19-year-old’s brave and agile displays between the sticks certainly made him an overall success story.
The good news is he played a full 90 in a recent friendly against Deeside Dragons, so he’s on the comeback trail.
Scored nine goals in 27 appearances for Mochdre this season and ended on a high as part of the Cookson Cup winning side.
Edwards will aim to kick on next season and push to boost his goals tally for an experienced and now trophy-winning Sports outfit.
Highly promising season for this 18-year-old front man who made 33 club appearances in total and netted 15 goals.
Played in 17 Ardal North West fixtures in NFA’s mpressive campaign, scoring six times.
Rounded off the season well, hitting the target in games versus Bangor City 1876, Prestatyn Town and Trearddur Bay.
Also helped NFA Under-23s to a third-place finish in the FAW Reserve League North Championship Conference, bagging a hat-trick in a 5-5 draw with Connah’s Quay.
Awesome debut senior season for this 16-year-old who notched 15 goals in 25 matches for North Wales Coast East Division One champions Sports.
Dead-ball and set-piece marvel who ended the campaign on fire with seven goals in his last four outings and hit nine in nine from January onwards.
Tremendous prospect who truly proved his worth.
Knocked in five goals in 26 appearances including a hat-trick on debut in a 6-0 Welsh Cup triumph over CPD Pentraeth.
It proved a tough season for Rhos in the Tier 4 North Wales Coast West Premier, but Louis was cosnsistent and steady throughout.
Two end-of-season victories brightened the mood at Rhos, lifting them out of the bottom three, with Louis scoring in a 4-2 success at Cerrigydrudion.
Scored 12 goals in 20 matches for the new North Wales Coast East Premier Division champions.
Thomas’ stats would have been more impressive but for injury issues early doors.
Grabbed four goals on his debut in the Welsh Cup and the Amateurs won every game in which he found the net, including their title-clincher against Mochdre Sports.
Began the season at CPD Y Rhyl 1879, scoring once in 17 appearances but never quite commanding a regular place before moving to Prestatyn in January, netting on his debut in a 2-2 draw at Llannefydd.
Did not feature for the Seasiders after the end of February.
Freeman’s move to Queens Park in January after starting the season with Chirk AAA – where he pocketed 12 goals in 19 appearances – turned out quite well!
With the first team winning a treble and the reserves, who Tom also turned out for, topping their league, the talented attacker ends the campaign a quadruple winner.
Scored 6 times in 15 first team matches for the Park, also bagging seven goals in two appearances for the reserves! Overall in 2025-26, 36 games, 25 goals!
In his first season at Tier 3, Dion hit 21 goals in 38 matches – an excellent effort.
On top of netting 11 times in 28 Ardal North West games for Llangefni, the 19-year-old scored six goals in the FAW Amateur Trophy and four in the Welsh Cup.
A Gwalchmai player last season, he was on fire from kick one for Cefni, poaching 16 goals in his first 18 appearances, then going through a lean spell before finishing the campaign back to form, scoring five in seven outings.
