Wrexham Foresters crowned league champions without kicking a ball

Wrexham Foresters are the inaugural Central Wales North Ladies League champions.
The title was secured without kicking a ball, after two matches the Foresters were due to play in the past week, away to Buckley Town and home against Tregaron Turfs, were both conceded by the opposition, resulting in a pair of automatic 3-0 wins.
Foresters now have a record of: played 16 won 16 with two home matches remaining – versus Airbus UK Broughton on Tuesday, May 12, and Llanidloes Town on Sunday, May 17.
Last week, the Wrexham club received the good news that they have been granted a Tier 2 licence essential to be promoted to the Genero Adran North League next season.
Foresters will either compete in a promotion play-off against North Wales Coast Women’s League champions Llangefni Town, or both will go up if current Adran North club Berriew fails in their appeal against a Tier 2 licence rejection.
The Powys club was refused by the FAW’s First Instance Body on the following criteria – Social and Environmental Sustainability, Infrastructure and Personnel & Administration.
Foresters have totally dominated the Central Wales North from day one, scoring a gargantuan 157 goals and conceding just four.
Player-manager Kirstie Kural has netted 52 league goals and 64 in all competitions, Anna Thomas has scored 36 (all league) and Savannah Miller 27 league and 32 across all matches.
