A second straight defeat leaves Hawarden Rangers’ hopes of a top two finish looking very unlikely. They remain a point behind Broughton United, who have two games in hand.

The Division Two title race took a very interesting twist. In a dress rehearsal of the NEWFA Trophy Final, Aston Park Rangers drew first blood. More importantly, they took over top spot from CPD Sychdyn United by virtue of winning their final league match.

Acton remain five points off top spot, but have two games left to play – one of which is against Sychdyn on 2nd May, which could well be the match that decides the title. CPD Yr Wyddgrug’s Leon Sumner netted his 15th and 16th league goals in tonight’s defeat.
