Gwalchmai have added a familiar face in Ynys Môn football to their management team.
Carl Taylor has joined manager Craig Evans, assistant Iwan Lewis and coach Kenny Hughes at the Tier 4 North Wales Coast Premier Division club.
Taylor returns to Maes Meurig, where he has been part of the management in the past, but is better known for his association with Holyhead Hotspur, the club he helped form in 1990.
As a top-quality midfielder, Taylor was a key figure in Hotspur’s rise up the North Wales pyramid and later managed the club in the Cymru Alliance League.
Taylor has also been a manager and assistant at Holyhead Town in the past.
Gwalchmai FC said: “No introduction needed with Carl, a top quality player and manager with Holyhead Hotspur. He will bring his experience to Gwalchmai which will really benefit the club and Efo and Pwds (Evans and Lewis) look forward to working with him.”
