Colwyn Bay could face Caernarfon Town at home in the FAW Youth Cup semi-finals – but the Seagulls have a lot of work to do first.
Bay must win their rearranged round three match against Pontypridd United this Sunday and then get past Barry Town United in the quarter-finals if they are to set up an all-North Wales semi versus the Cofis.
On January 31, Bay were removed from the cup after an FAW charge against the club relating to an alleged rule-break over team sheet submission was proven.
Bay appealed and it emerged on Tuesday they had been successful and were reinstated, but were told they had to replay the Pontypridd tie. The club can still appeal if it disagrees with that decision.
Otherwise, their round three meeting with Pontypridd United will now be replayed this Sunday (February 15). Colwyn Bay won the original tie in South Wales on penalties in December after a 1-1 draw.
This week’s FAW Youth Cup semi-final draw saw either Barry, Pontypridd or Colwyn Bay land a home clash with Caernarfon, last year’s beaten finalists. The other semi-final tie is The New Saints v Cardiff Met.
The semis will be played on Sunday, March 1.
