NORTH WALES COAST WEST: Nefyn, Nantlle Vale, Menai Tigers and Llanystumdwy all victorious

Steffan Toplis was a hat-trick hero again for Nefyn

NORTH WALES COAST WEST LEAGUE REPORTS – FEBRUARY 7

PREMIER DIVISION

CPD Nefyn United 4 Talysarn Celts 0

Nefyn proved once again they are major players in the title race by making it five straight wins in which not a single goal has been scored against them.

It was another great day for Steffan Toplis, who netted on 10, 18 and 31 minutes to make it nine goals in four appearances since he joined the Penwaig in January. It was also his second hat-trick for the Cae’r Delyn club.

Tomi Evans dished out two assists and Jake Jones another in that first half.

Sixteen-year-old ace Deio Jones made it 4-0 a minute after the restart, captain Llyr Pennant Williams assisting.

CPD Llanystumdwy 3 CPD Llanberis 1

Llanystumdwy strengthened their grip on a top five spot with their fifth victory in six league matches.

The hosts enjoyed the ideal start when Nigerian forward Albert Nosakhare made it 1-0 on five minutes, Arwyn Jones with the assist.

The roles were reversed with 10 gone, Nosakhare the supplier and Jones the finisher.

Llanberis revived their hopes on 38 minutes when 17-year-old Guto Wyn Jones made it 2-1, Mathew Edwards involved in the build-up.

The second half was a good contest, but Llanystumdwy sealed it when Arwyn Jones put away his second of the afternoon after 70 minutes.

Menai Bridge Tigers 4 CPD Penrhyndeudraeth 2

Leaders Menai Bridge boosted their unbeaten league run to 12 matches after coming out on top in a six-goal thriller with Penrhyndeudraeth.

Matthew Jones netted the first for Tigers on 21 minutes from a James Saxon assist, but Gwion Davies levelled after 39, Alun Hughes the supplier.

John Littlemore restored the Menai lead after 42, Jamie McDaid this time playing the role of assistant.

McDaid was provider again just before the hour when he helped set up Cameron Barry to make it 3-1.

Reece Evans hit back for the visitors on 87 which made for an exciting finish, but Tigers calmed the nerves of home supporters with their fourth on 90+1, Kaine Bentley on the mark.

Nantlle Vale 6 CPD Llannerchymedd 1

Second-place Vale trail table-toppers Menai Bridge by eight points but have four games in hand.

Nantlle made it nine without loss on Saturday with a 6-1 caning of Llannerchymedd at Maes Dulyn.

Ashley Owen’s 18th goal of the campaign set the hosts on their way, Luke Phillips and Alex Kalafusz adding further strikes before half time.

Kalafusz notched his second on 52, Carter Davies made it 5-0 after 67 and Llion Griffiths popped in the sixth with 82 gone.

Tomos Hughes nabbed a consolation for Llannerchymedd before the finaol whistle.
