MONDAY NIGHT REPORTS – JANUARY 12, 2026

NORTH WALES COAST WEST PREMIER DIVISION

Menai Bridge Tigers 7 Llannerchymedd 2

Second-place Menai Bridge moved to within a point of leaders Nantlle Vale with a big win which stretched their unbeaten run to eight matches.

It was a night where prolific goalscorers came to the fore for the Ynys Môn side, who became the first Premier team to find the net 50 times this season.

Beaten just once in the league in 2025-26, Bridge took an 18th minute lead when Kaine Bentley fired home from a Lewis Clayton assist.

Clayton himself added the second just two minutes later, Jamie McDaid the supplier and he also laid on number three for John Littlemore after 32.

McDaid made it a hat-trick of assists in the 41st minute when Matthew Jones profited from his team-mate’s good work.

Tomos Hughes responded with a penalty for Llannerchymedd on 43, but just a minute later McDaid found the target with his 21st goal of the campaign.

Littlemore made it 6-1 nine minutes into the second half, Clayton with a second assist and Sion Hogan bagged a seventh on 62, James Mcminiee providing the chance.

A second Hughes penalty on 87 was a mere consolation for Medd.

FAW RESERVE LEAGUE NORTH – PREMIER CONFERENCE

Ruthin Town Reserves 5 Gresford Athletic Development 1

A thumping win for Ruthin over a Gresford outfit unbeaten in their previous 10 matches – nine of them victories.

Ciaran Roberts fired the home side in front on 12 minutes, but the prolific Sam Bryan, a match-winner for the first team on Saturday, levelled after 29 with his 20th goal of the season.

That was as good as it got for the Colliers, Sean Kell making it 2-1 to the hosts on 39 before Roberts made it a double after 45, new signing Tom Mann with the assist.

No further goals until the 75th minute when Tomos Salisbury converted a penalty for Town, Sion Williams soon adding a fifth.
