Adam Galdo has joined Cefn Albion as first team coach. to work alongside manager Jamie Hulse.
Galdo and Hulse previously enjoyed great success at Corwen, so this reunion is warmly welcomed at The Muga.
Three months ago, Galdo stepped down as Corwen manager, but is now refreshed and looking forward to a fresh challenge.
He said: “Obviously delighted to be getting back into coaching after a much needed few months away.
“When the opportunity came to join back up with Jamie, it was a no brainer. We have had real success together in the past and work together really well. He has spoken really highly about the club in regards to their ambitions and it matches mine. Also he had positive words about the lads on the management team and also the squad of players and I can’t wait to get to work with them and help the club move forward.
“I know Cefn Albion well from my days as a player with Llanuwchllyn and although we were rivals for many seasons and had some proper battles down at The Muga, I have always respected the club and how the village get behind the team.
“I am looking forward to experiencing that on the home team this time.”
Excited to be joining forces with Galdo again, manager of the Ardal North East club Hulse said: “Delighted to welcome Adam to the management team. Over the last 4 years, we have worked so well together. Our ambitions are the same alongside our friendship.
“Nothing is a given in football, but I know having Galdo with us definitely gives us a better chance of achieving our goals moving forward. I know the Albion community will embrace this as he wears his heart on his sleeve like us all.
“Since returning home to The Muga, we have the highest, average home attendance in the league.
“Exciting times for the football club.”
Cefn Albion general manager Chris Parry added: “We are delighted to welcome Galdo to The Albion.
“Once Jamie (Hulse) indicated that Adam was ready to make a return to football, we, as a club, were excited at the prospect of them linking up once again. Especially given their previous successes at Corwen.
“Adam is a well respected figure within North Wales football and he will undoubtedly bring a wealth of experience, knowledge and knowhow to the squad and also to our existing first team coaching staff of Tommy Evans, Jack Richards, Andy Roberts and Vaughny.”
