Ardal North East newcomers Corwen have announced Adam Galdo is their new manager following the resignation of Jamie Hulse.
Galdo was part of Hulse’s management team at the War Memorial Ground which won the Tier 4 North East Wales League Premier Division crown last season.
Former leader of the highly-successful Ruthin Town Reserves set-up, Hulse took over at Corwen at the start of 2023-24 and led the club to championship glory.
However, last week, it was announced he is stepping down.
Corwen FC said in a statement: “Jamie has played a huge part in the successful return of the club to Tier 3 football – his record-breaking efforts in leading the club last season are truly appreciated and he leaves with the best wishes of everyone at the club.
“His legacy will be fondly remembered by all at Corwen FC – as will his positivity, attention to detail, commitment to quality football and sheer will to win.”
Corwen soon announced that Galdo has been appointed first team chief.
Galdo is relishing the opportunity to lead the North East Wales League champions this season and his backroom team will be confirmed in the course of the next few days.
Club chair Martin Lyons said: “Corwen FC are pleased to make a prompt and positive appointment as we embark on an exciting and challenging campaign back in Tier 3. Adam was delighted to accept the role and is looking forward to leading the club forward and build on last season’s successes.”
