Ellie Coulson became the first player to reach 100 appearances for Llangefni Town Ladies at the weekend.

The 30-year-old marked the occasion in style with a fine display in Cefni’s 5-0 win over Llanystumdwy which kept the Ynys Môn side’s 100 percent record in the North Wales Coast Women’s League intact.

In those 100 appearances, Ellie has notched an outstanding 57 goals, including six hat-tricks.

The striker made her debut for Town on October 10, 2021, scoring in a 5-2 victory at Holywell Girls and Ladies.

As well as being a consistent goalscorer, Ellie is also a superb link player in attack, having chalked up numerous career assists.

Her early partnership with Jen Cox up front flourished in Cefni’s second season and she has since formed productive duos up front with Jess Jones, Amber Brown and others.

Llangefni manager Dan Gregg is widely known to appreciate Ellie’s invaluable contributions to the team’

While strikingly tall, Ellie is far from just an aerial presence, also being very skilful on the ground.

She does not shy away from the physical side of the game, but the skill and grace she shows on the ball, as well as being an unselfish team-mate, are special standout qualities.
