NORTH WALES COAST EAST: Mochdre still top, Llysfaen off the mark

NORTH WALES COAST EAST LEAGUE REPORTS – NOVEMBER 1
PREMIER DIVISION

Mochdre Sports 2 Glan Conwy 1
This may have been a top versus bottom clash, but basement side Glan Conwy gave leaders Mochdre a really tough battle.
Sports created a number of chances, but many were either blocked or saved by impressive 17-year-old visiting goalkeeper Joseph Robertson.
The hosts took the lead after 12 minutes when Cian Evans found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper after being slid in by Niall Owen.
The visitors equalised on 38 minutes with a superb turn and finish from 17-year-old Franky Gughrill, but the three points were ultimately sealed after 70 when Niall Owen finished an indirect free kick in the penalty area smartly, having the ball passed to the side of on-rushing defenders and placing it in the far corner.
On another day, it could have been a more emphatic victory for the table-toppers, but ultimately all that matters is another three points.
Llandudno Junction 1 CPD Llansannan 1
It finished all-square at The Flyover, Luke Molmans’ 26th minute strike giving Llansannan an interval lead before Lee Davies levelled for the Junction after 55.
Llanfairfechan Town 5 CPD Cerrigydrudion 1
Substitute Osian Roberts was a hat-trick star for a Llanfairfechan side which continues to pile on the goals.
Rhidian Edwards gave Cerrig a 10th minute lead, but Dan Hughes made it one-apiece with 19 on the clock.
The 19-year-old Roberts appeared on the hour and made all the difference. He bagged a 12-minute treble on 77, 64 and 89 minutes, with Ellis Jones also on target after 88.
Town have now scored five times in each of their last three matches and amassed 44 goals in the last outings.
CPD Y Glannau 8 CPD Bro Cernyw 2
Harrison Bellis made it eight goals in three games with a quartet in Saturday’s thrashing of Bro Cernyw.
Bellis, 23, who rejoined the club this season after spells with NFA and Denbigh Town, boosted his career tally for Y Glannau to 155 goals in 83 appearances.
Danny Calvert and captain Steven Kirk added two apiece for the hosts, Sion Jones and Iwan Roberts with Cernyw’s responses.
DIVISION ONE

CPD Blue Bridge 2 Llandyrnog United 2
Leading 2-0 at half time against long-time table-topping Llandyrnog, Blue Bridge had to settle for a draw, but could still feel proud of a fine result at Coronation Gardens.
Kyle Lally found the net on four and 13 minutes for the Rhyl-based hosts, Stephen Middleman assisting for the second.
After the break, Dyrny hit back through Luke Appleby on 46 minutes and Alfie Harrison after 79, but the hosts claimed an excellent point.
Llysfaen 4 Prestatyn Wanderers 2

After managing just a single point in their opening seven games, Llysfaen finally got off the mark on Sunday with a welcome victory at the Bananabeu.
Steven Collins broke the deadlock on 43 minutes to hand Faen an interval lead.
Early in the second half, Nigerian Samuel Adeyinka-Gabs made it 2-0, but but on 58 minutes Kelvin Berks pulled one back.
Llysfaen were down to 10 men with 69 gone when Chris Evans was shown a straight red.
Collins then missed a penalty for the hosts, but they managed to restore a two-goal lead when Jake Reynolds struck after 76.
Captain Rodney Hastie gave the away side hope when he responded on 88, but Reynolds sealed it for the home side with his second after 90+1.
Penrhyn Bay 3 CPD Henllan 0
Bay are top of the tree after a three-goal success against visitors Henllan.
After a blank opening 45, Femi Allison opened the scoring on 66 minutes from an assist by substitute Hari Bartlett.
Jordan Dixon made it two after 75, Bartlett again the supplier.
The consistent Gabriel George scored for the fifth game in a row to make it three after 84, Andrew Butterworth this time assisting.
Rhuddlan Town 3 Crozzy 2
Three points for Rhuddlan thanks to goals from captain Liam Bowers – his 16th of the season – Ebin George adding his first and Harvey Gordon also on the mark.
Bowers and George netted within the first seven minutes, while Gordon bagged what turned out to be the decider on 56.
Danny Talbot ensured Crozzy went close with goals on 23 and 35 minutes.
